We are senior citizens and find the Smart Chair too heavy to lift and put in our car. Have not been able to use it since i need it for shopping in malls or sightseeing.

It pains me to give a 1 star because the people who dealt with me-namely Lenny-were so lovely, but I've wasted so much time trying to get a settings programmer to New Zealand as I don't feel safe using my kd chair with such slow reaction times, and I hope a review might get someone's attention. Every 6 months or so I email you guys again and I get the same reassurance that you will get the factory in China to send one out, and then nothing happens at all. A waste of Lenny's time, and my kd smart chair I would honestly pay hundreds to get it shipped here if it meant I could use my chair again, and would really love for someone to help me with this one more time. I love the chair because it is small and easy to maneuver around. I don`t like the armrest because they rip too easily. That is my main complaint. I have a lot of people who want to know where I got it. I would highly recommend it.

My chair seems to be “locked up”and we are unable to open it! Something has caught and we are unable to pry it open, so it is therefore useless to me now. Before it became useless, it worked well. I needed a cushion on the seat and a pillow on the backrest in order to make it more comfortable for prolonged seating, but it is highly responsive using the joystick and I liked it!

We really love the idea of the KD Smart Chair. We use it when traveling with my adult daughter who has CP, as her regular full-size power chair is too big for many situations. The KD Smart Chair is easy to fold, light weight and relatively comfortable for a non-custom wheelchair. It is easy to throw into a regular car or taxi. It has been a life-saver for traveling. Customer service has been fantastic. Our biggest complaint is that it is too fast and sensitive for her to drive safely. They sent us parts they thought would help with that problem, and also sent us (at no cost) replacement tires and other parts she had worn out after some 5 years of occasional (but hard) use. I usually end up operating the joy stick for her in public, which is still easier than pushing a manual chair, but I do wish there could be a slow mode. People with some disabilities might do okay with it, but it is very touchy and fast, causing many near-disaster situations! Still, the KD Smart Chair has been well worth its original price for us, an d I certainly suggest giving the chair a try for your needs.

Light, convenient, and the battery lasts a long time, but it is difficult to drive.

the use of the chair was very cumbersome. Once we received it we were very disappointed at the quality and design. Not as easy and versatile to use as advertised

KDSmartChair is a great portable, electric chair! The only problem I had was the length of time it took to get the chair.
