KaguyasuReviews of kaguyasu.com

I made a custom order from Kaguyasu for 3 furniture items including a very large curved desk, a side cabinet and 2 drawer filing cabinet all to specific dimensions including my own choice of color. The team did their best to meet my expectations so much that they actually re-manufactured the side cabinet as the original unit would not accomodate US letter hanging files. The desk is fantastic and the response from Kaguyasu was always very prompt, usually within a day.

I should have checked these reviews before purchasing the chair I did. There is another review saying the same exact issues that I have with it. I bought the chair that has the back and arms that can both fold down. It's a joke. It isn't a normal lever to put the chair back back. You have to pull it all the way forward and then all the way back and click it into position. And you cannot put it back more than a little because if you lean even a little off of center you will tip over. I've never tipped over in a chair before so it's not like I'm being crazy with it. I just lean over a little and I'm on the ground. The padding is non-existent and it's the main reason I bought it. It seems like this is a drop-shipped chair honestly. The base is cheap-feeling plastic. I was so excited for this chair and I was completely let down. It was not worth the 400 bucks I paid for it. Will never buy anything from them again. And yes it also took forever to be delivered, which is whatever, but I thought I would mention it.

July 11, 2026 I ordered a chair from them. It was quoted 6 to 8 weeks back in January 2026 and the delivery ended up being close to three months. The only positive thing that I can say about this is that the color of the chair was as described in the pictures on the site. They show that you’re able to lay down in this quite comfortably in both the back, being reclined all the way and be able to recline on the arms of the chair. That is definitely false unless you are under 5 foot or a child. The padding on the chair isn’t what I expected; if you sit on it for more than an hour, the stuffing gets all flattened. And just recently, the base of the chair has broken so it is now currently leaning towards one side. July 16, 2026 I am writing to provide a brief update regarding my recent review of one of their Office Chairs. I was contacted by their support team just a day after submitting my feedback with an offer to rectify the issue. Thanks to their prompt and efficient communication, the matter has been successfully resolved to my satisfaction. I sincerely appreciate the excellent assistance provided by your team and wish their company continued success. I have left the original review only to show that they were able to give satisfactory results after having a somewhat negative review and that is the reason for the change in my rating of my experience.

My experience with Kaguyasu, I spent 20k back in Feb 2025, I was completely ripped off with the worst quality furniture I have ever seen, took them to NCAT, I won and they were ordered to refund me immediately on the 26/05/2026 but will not pay, I had to get an enforcement order from the local court which took more time and money and now I need to enforce it but they still won’t pay. This company is a Scam, they do not have an Australian office or company employees in Australia. They are ripping off Australians every day and getting away with it.

Took a while and was radio silent it seemed but when I did get the chair it was exactly as advertised and not a bad price either

Our desk took twice as long to be delivered as we were told. Costumer service was not prompt in getting back with us or updating us. That being said, we are happy with the quality of the desk we received. Better customer service would help this company alot.

When I received my desk it was missing parts and I was unable to complete the assembly. The item I received is not as described on their website. Very deceptive. I contacted their support which can only be done by email, and they speak broken english which makes communication very difficult. I simply asked them to ship the missing parts & I supplied them with everything they needed for proof that I was missing parts and assembly couldn't be completed. A few emails were exchanged and then they stopped replying. Extremely bad communication and the items on their website is not a representation of what you'll receive. The quality of the materials from the desk suck too. I was really excited for this desk but Kaguyasu dropped the ball on both the product and customer service.

Bunch of garbage, I didn’t have high expectations but I thought that I give it a shot. Hardware is a complete junk, hinges, cam locks, handles are not even close from what is pictured. Boards are worst quality I have ever seen. Drawer holes for slides are not marked. Instructions good luck, just use your imagination and pictures from catalog.
