I’m new to the treatment, but I feel like it’s helping me be more confident and get out into society. I have started volunteering and it helps me feel useful and more connected.

I didn't have any issues with the service.

Joyous has been really good with microdosing ketamine. I really enjoyed their product and how it helped me. I have been using for almost two years with counseling weekly. It has helped me during some really lows and high anxiety times. I can say my symptoms are better managed. Obviously, depression and anxiety is there but managed.

I’d give it 5 stars if the lozenges don’t taste so bitter. But if you can get through that part, you’re in for a wonderful experience.

My depression lifted almost immediately. Great experience. About 7 months in i started having bladder & incontinence problems , I researched it & found it may be a side effect. I am now weaning myself off which is really scary.

Overall I had a very positive experience with Joyous, BUT I attribute my success to the medication plus my dedication to doing the mental work to improve. This is not a program you can expect to just take a medication and you’ll be ‘fixed’. The medication is a tool to help you make whatever progress you need in your own healing journey. For me, that included a lot of self-reflection, journaling, art, and movement therapy in addition to taking the medication. I was able to process a LOT of past trauma and get over some big humps that I’d been dealing with my whole life. Once that progress was apparent though, I felt very stagnant and the affects on my major depressive disorder outside trauma were not sustained. From reading more about Ketamine therapy, this is a common finding. It’s not generally a permanent fix. The Joyous providers themselves were merely there to do your appointment and prescribe the medication. There is no therapy and it is very hands-off, so I feel that you must be self-motivated and disciplined to be successful in this. The patient portal does have resources and a community forum, but again, very self-guided.
