Poor, or no, communication with support. Unable to answer simple questions and did not explain the process well. Required to setup 3+ appointments before even starting, during which they ghost you.

Up until this month I was doing…
Up until this month I was doing fantastic after 5 months of treatment. I have PTSD and extreme anxiety. I have been now two weeks without my medication and have been back and forth with the pharmacy, USPS and the joyous care team and still do not have my medication. USPS tells me they never received the item. The pharmacy tells me to file a claim with USPS but that could take weeks to resolve. I know the company can see that I have not signed for the delivery and they can see that it was never delivered because the tracking completely stopped after the shipping label was created. This is someone's Mental Health and well-being that is affected by this that it should be taken a little more seriously. The care team just directs me to USPS and it's like a never-ending nightmare Circle. To do so well on a medication and have it abruptly taken from you is not safe and not ethical at all. I can't talk to a real person because there's no way for me to do that only emails and phone calls.

Incompetent customer service Third World AI
No medication, no refund, zero customer support.
Total nightmare dealing with Joyous customer service. The post office lost my 3rd-month refill shipment on May 20th. I reached out to Joyous immediately, and for nearly two weeks, they have given me the exact same cut-and-paste AI replies claiming they are "escalating" the issue. It's now June 2nd, and they haven't done a thing. They even told me to just go back to the post office, completely failing to understand how shipping and tracking work. They won't ship a replacement and they won't issue a refund. Do not trust them with your medication.

**1-Star Review**
**1-Star Review**
**Terrible Communication System and Wasted Time**
I went through their initial intake process and was told I needed a second appointment for telehealth approval. Sounded straightforward at first, but it quickly turned into a nightmare.
I ended up scheduling **five different appointments**, spent hours waiting in Zoom lobbies, and **never actually got a single telehealth visit**. Communication was strictly text-only, even when things were clearly going wrong. No phone support, no real assistance — just silence and more rescheduling.
The entire process was an enormous waste of time and energy. If you already have anxiety, this system will make it significantly worse. I’ve requested a refund and am really hoping they can at least handle that competently.
**Avoid this service.** Extremely poor execution and customer support. Not worth the frustration.

Inaccessible to people with visual impairments
Before I signed up I requested a reasonable accommodation of doing my daily check-ins via e-mail. Both staff (to my face) and in e-mail said this could be done. After a week of treatment and many attempts to communicate the problem, I still was not being sent an e-mail option. I have cancelled my subscription and will be filing a fraud charge with my bank to stop the remaining 2 months of payment (which I do not remember agreeing to). They were happy to sign me up and take my money, but did not provide the necessary supervision for my safety. They should not be allowed to be in business.

Constant treatment interruptions
My treatment is constantly interrupted due to shipment delays from the pharmacy. They dispense on schedule but ship USPS.
My refill is over two weeks late and Joyous continues to charge their "subscription" even though I have no medication. USPS hasn't scanned the box in over ten days, but joyous will do nothing for their patient.
This has happened numerous times and I'm going to the medical board.

Poor customer service, no resolution
Package got lost in the mail and customer support was useless. Every interaction ended with "we'll forward this to the team" — nothing ever resolved. USPS tracking clearly showed the package was never delivered and was eventually returned to sender, so they had proof I never received anything — and still refused to help. Never received any communication about a refund and had to file a dispute myself. They also never confirmed my prescription was canceled. Would not recommend.

Negligent Care and Unacceptable Medication Gaps
If I could give Joyous negative stars, I would. This is the absolute worst medical provider app I have ever dealt with. Their “Care Team” is anything but caring. They have turned from a loyal customer that has referred many customers, to someone that will do anything I can to steer any and everyone away from them.
I pay for a monthly subscription, which includes a prescription for daily ketamine. I was down to my last 4 days of my medication and I expected that my refill was already in the mail. I checked my messages and discovered they just messaged me 2 days prior informing me that I needed to do a virtual consult before my refill. I tried to schedule my appointment but they were booked 10 days out, and it would another week to ship my meds (at least a 2-week gap in my medication). Apparently they only have one provider in the state of Texas.
I contacted their “Care” Team. They were exceptionally rude and careless. They repeatedly told me that a week or two without my prescription wouldn’t be a big deal, and if I needed any assistance, I should just “reach out to my family and friends”.
They completely missed the point that I pay for a subscription which includes refills and follow-ups with my doctor, with adequate time to receive my medication without gaps.
Multiple times I reached out to, and they repeatedly blew me off and would take several days to respond to each message.
I requested that at the very least, they provide me a refund for the number of days I was missing my prescription. They told me that my subscription wasn’t really for a prescription, it was just for general “support”, like texting with their Care Team (that neither cares nor responds). Apparently, because the subscription is the same price regardless of the dose, they save a bit of money by not refilling your medication in time.
This is a for-profit company only, that absolutely does not care about their patients. They are understaffed and will only provide templated responses to your concerns. They do not offer any support via phone, only text message. They will not notify you when your prescription requires a consult to be refilled, and they do not have enough providers to meet with you in adequate time. They do not care if you have gaps in your refills. And if you need support while you’re missing your medication, you should apparently just reach out to your family and friends, because their Care Team is not available. Oh, and you will not get a refund for the days you’re missing your medication.

Hi Adam, we're deeply sorry for the experiences you've described and missing the mark on the experience standards we strive to provide for our patients. We immediately escalated your review for the team to investigate and reach out directly with a resolution. We also worked with the Head of Care regarding your feedback on your communications with out team to ensure they adjust their communications with patients. We never want patients to feel like we "blew them off" or ignored their requests fo rsupport and we're deeply sorry for how our communications made you feel.
We do genuinely care about our patients. Please look out for a message from a member of our team if they haven't reached out already.
Thank you,
