I applied for the hardship program and was told I should hear something back. I have not heard anything from them. I receive benefits from the State I live in and struggle paying for my medications. I am so disappointed that they have not responded. The program sounded like it would work for me. I really need help with my depression, PTSD, and panic attacks. I am not sure about this company anymore.

Total scam! Once they get your money it's complete silence. I canceled my card (with pleasure) and reported the company. Never got any medication or response from Joyous total scam. It's really horrible this world can be and some of the people in it. Using peoples mental health to gain profit absolutely disgusting. I will NEVER TRUST AN ONLINE ANYTHING AGAIN! This was a last hope for me and I am at a lost at this point. Disgusting company KARMA is real I hope everyone working this scam gets there's.

Will not cancel my service and still charging me. Do not subscribe with Joyous
I had an okay experience for a while. There were several delayed shipments and no consistency of timing. Then I tried to cancel and they will not respond in any way. I clicked on my weekly check in that I wanted to cancel and set 3 tickets in on their website and I have heard nothing. I just looked at my bank statement and they charged me anyway. Now that I'm looking online this has happened to lots of people.

Terrible unorganized company
I reluctantly tried Joyous because the nearest IV ketamine clinic is 4 hours away from me. I had an initial consultation with Sara M. To be honest, I felt looked down upon and found her to be uncaring and self important.
Then my ketamine troches arrived, I was started out at a laughable 15mg but they upped my dose every few days. The daily surveys are annoying.
Also, if you were to read their privacy policy then you would learn that they are submitting your data into a national study, probably profiling from that too.
The only way to reach them is through text message which is irresponsible for a so called health care company. Sometimes you receive a response, sometimes not.
My monthly follow up with Sara M was due. They informed me that I would not receive any refills unless I attend. I asked via text how I could change providers. They answered my question with a question instead.
So, I decided this wasn’t for me and decided to cancel. There isn’t a way for you to cancel this $129 monthly subscription on your own! According to their website, you must call a 1-800 number but when you do you receive a message that their phones are non operational.
So, I then text them to cancel, no response. Few hours go by I repeated the text, no response. I asked a couple more times and started to worry so I locked my card.
Finally, several hours later after I sent a threatening text message that I would be reporting their company, I received a link to cancel. This link to cancel is a long intrusive survey that they claim I must complete in order to cancel. Well, I say BS! I exited their survey and again told them to cancel but they refused to do so unless I answer all their prodding questions.
Now I’m pretty upset and let them know that they don’t have any right to force me into anything. My request to cancel is all that they need to know. After a few angry words I received an email that they finally are canceling my subscription but then had the nerve to scold me for my angry words.
This company is absolutely ridiculous. They should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of vulnerable patients, which is what they do. Total cash grab.
To cancel it should be a simple process that you can do on your own from your patient portal!
Dealing with these terrible people stressed out a person who was already under an overwhelming amount of grief. I asked for help but instead, they made things more stressful and difficult.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND
Update: Joyous flagged my review so I had to edit it in order to be published. This explains their current rating because if they didn’t have 1 star reviews removed, their rating would be MUCH lower. I’ll next be reporting them to the federal trade commission and my attorney general. The lawyers at classaction.org might be interested in pursuing something. FYI if you leave them a bad review make sure to follow up on any emails from trust pilot so that your review isn’t deleted!
2nd update: Joyous must really not want the world to read about my experience with them because they flagged this review a second time. Let’s hope trust pilot does the right thing and publishes it. People have the right to know. I speak the truth based upon my own personal experience with Joyous. I am absolutely disgusted at the lengths in which they will go to silence truth.
After reading the company’s response I am shocked but find it hilarious at the same time. I disagree, especially denying that they tried to have my review removed due to privacy. They actually flagged it under defamation. I meant what I said and it was not easy to cancel. Smart people will see through the B.S. Thanks for pretending to be concerned though.
Response from Joyous - Low-Dose Ketamine TreatmentAug 14, 2024
We are truly sorry for any frustration or discomfort you encountered during your journey. Our mission is to support everyone’s well-being with care and respect, and we deeply regret that this was not reflected in your experience.
Regarding the update to your review, we completely understand your frustration. We want to clarify that Joyous does not have the ability to remove or censor reviews. Trustpilot’s guidelines are designed to keep reviews authentic, and content that contains private information, such as names or contact details, is against their policies. We are committed to transparency and value all feedback, as it helps us improve.
We are particularly concerned about your feeling of being unheard, and we sincerely apologize for this. Your experience does not align with the level of care we strive to provide, and we will address this internally to ensure that every patient feels fully supported and respected throughout their treatment.
Regarding the initial dosage, our protocols are designed with health safety as our top priority, which sometimes involves starting at a lower dose and adjusting as needed based on your feedback. We also recognize that the daily surveys can feel burdensome, but they are an important tele-health tool to closely monitor your response to treatment and ensure your safety.
On the matter of data privacy, please rest assured that your information is handled with the utmost care and in strict compliance with HIPAA Privacy Regulations.
We are deeply sorry for the difficulties you experienced during the cancellation process. Cancelation remains simple and straight-forward, as shared with all patients; the Care Team sends over an off-boarding form to help your provider understand where you are in your treatment, if you experienced any side effects, and to provide medical recommendations for continuing care after stopping Joyous. We understand that this can be frustrating, but we want to make sure we're helping our patients stop treatment safely with tools and recommendations from their providers.
Lastly, we are truly sorry to hear about the added stress you have experienced during a time when you were seeking relief. Your well-being is our priority, and we regret any additional burden caused. If you would like to discuss your experience further or provide additional feedback, please feel free to share it directly with us here: https://www.joyous.team/joyous-experience. Wishing you well on your continued journey,
~Best, Joyous Team

Joyous is a scam …
Joyous is a scam that will charge you each month even if they dont deliver any medication or service and ignore your requests to cancel. They spam your inbox with excessive and long notifications and that is what they deem as their "service." As for the product they will charge you for it even if they dont send it to you. I stopped taking this medication because I got very very sick from taking it within a week and told them as much. I offered to return the unused medication. It is impossible to cancel even after emailing support back and forth they still havent cancelled. They have charged me over $500 for service and product which they never delivered and was not wanted anyways. I reported it to my HSA debit card company. I was tempted to drive over to Palo Alto because I am so angry about this. I hope someone creates a class action lawsuit against them. They are unethical.. taking advantage of people who are already mentally struggling.

I was banned from joyous over politics
I was banned from joyous over politics! My “therapist” or whatever they are apparently looked me up and called me a cultist and told me “you ain’t f’ing special” kh going by sl on the joyous fb group! She then removed my phone number from the system so i couldn’t login so i asked for a release letter and today (2days later) i get a text that i am still a patient and i just have to wait for an appointment possibly months!
This last batch of troches did nothing for me and kh ignored my questions about why half the troche was plastic tasting and only a small part of the other half had medicine in it!

Don’t do it!
Don’t do it! Once they get access to your FSA card it’s literally radio silence!
I had some rough side effects starting my medication & was never once able to contact a live person!
Tried everything! Email, text, daily surveys, nothing.
Absolutely all communication was automated even when i text “emergency.”
I had to request cancellation 3 times only through the automated system.
Had to put a stop on my fsa card as well.
I am extremely disappointed in the lack of communication.
Joyous responded to my review on August 5th and has still not reached out or answered any emails or texts.
