I would give three or four stars, but their delivery process is abysmal. Once the shipping label is created, it can take anywhere between five and eight days to arrive. For the life of me, I don't understand why they don't do one to three day shipping. People would pay for it.

Hi Josh, thank you for sharing your experience and we're glad our treatment has been helpful for you, outside of the delivery issues you've described. We know there has been a bit of a delay with the holiday rush at the end of the year, and we've been working with USPS and the pharmacy to ensure shipping labels are printed and packages shipped quickly after, preventing the frustration of waiting for them to be scanned in. We're also continuing to research shipping options but have so far stayed with USPS because it's the only shipping company who can legally deliver packages inside mailboxes and we want to ensure package safety and security for patients in high-traffic areas.
Thank you for your feedback and if you'd like to share anything else about your experience, please share with our team here: https://www.joyous.team/joyous-experience
Wishing you a new year filled with peace, growth, happiness always,

The customer service is horrible
The customer service is horrible, product not bad but choose a different ketamine service. They also will steal your money I've been overcharged multiple times and I've canceled when I canceled over being they never sent the last shipment and still refuses to give me a refund their excuse is well you pay for the whole thing not just the medication and I said no I'm only here for the medication give me a refund or send me the last shipment but of course they won't this is a terrible service becuase of customer service theirs no phone number you just have to email and hope they get back to you. They say they'll get back to you in 24 hours that's never been the case I've had them not respond for over 3 weeks

Hi Hannah, we're so sorry to hear about this challenging experience and we really strive to provide timely support to make treatment as supportive as possible. Our treatment is a monthly subscription where payments are charged on the same day monthly, and includes provider appointments, medication, daily check-ins, and at-home treatment courses on the Be Joyous platform to help patients make lasting mental health improvements. The treatment is not just the medication because we want patients to feel empowered with tools and resources to make ongoing progress, but we understand that this might not have felt clear and we've escalated this to our Care Team to look into.
Thank you for sharing your experience and again, we're sorry for the frustration and we'll have someone reach out directly once they've reviewed your account. Thank you trying our treatment and we hope you find a treatment that best supports your wellness journey.

I regularly run out of medication…
I regularly run out of medication before I am notified that I need to make an appointment and the care team is not helpful at all.
EDITED TO ADD I have been told that If I do not add my legal name my review will be taken down for being "inaccurate".
I am transgender and part of what made Joyous so terrible is being dead named by the providers and the care team. I canceled over a week ago and have been waiting on "the next steps" from the care team since then.
I have received rude messages from the care team on the Joyous community portal when I am asking for help from other members after not getting the answers from the care team.
This whole issue could have been avoided if the prescription ending date was available online OR if the care team had told me where to find it on the prescription package.
Instead, I found out on Christmas that I was about to run out of medication and would not be getting anymore until the New Year.
All of my family is dead, so this didn't ruin the holidays it simply made them unbearable for me. I had a full breakdown that I am only just recovering from.
I'm sure this review will be flagged as "false" so Joyous can continue to ignore people's complaints but I hope it helps someone before that.

Scammers scammed me out of my $129
Toward the end of November 2024, with 1 dose left of my 30-day supply, I found myself without confirmation that the next box had been shipped. I texted and emailed asking for an update (you can’t call or chat online live with Joyous.com). Nearly a week went by, and eventually I got a lone automated email confirming a shipping label had been created. I clicked the tracking link and saw that an hour after the label was created, it was canceled. I texted and emailed Joyous again asking for input. More days went by. I receive no response.
Eventually I just had my bank reverse the charge for that month’s supply, and sent an email to Joyous stating cancellation. A week later, my bank explained that Joyous demanded the charge back, citing “subscription policy.” I emailed Joyous once again, this time asking for a refund. Their reply: we are a subscription service, and the monthly charge occurs on the 1st of the month, no matter when shipping occurs, and this charge covers everything for the month including: daily check-ins (automated - not live, of course), “monitoring” from the care team, “access” to medical providers, and “medication + shipping.”
But that's the problem: I hadn’t, and haven't, received ANY of the above services from them this month, let alone the actual supply of medication. I asked if not a refund, then would they be sending me the 1-month supply of medication they were paid for. Their response: no, because you requested cancellation and aren’t under our care anymore, BUT if you us pay again now to renew your subscription, then yes we’ll send it.
They scammed me out of my $129 on December 1st. I looked around online and found dozens+ reviews citing similar experiences with Joyous. I see here on BBB that someone from Joyous replies to all the complaints, and disputes everything each consumer says. I expect they'll do the same to me, but, there's no way around the facts: Joyous was paid, and Joyous did not provide the agreed-upon service or product. Just a matter of time before regulators catch up to whatever MBA-grad mid is running this place.

Hi ACR, we're so sorry for this frustrating experience. We've requested more information through Trustpilot so our team can investigate what happened in your specific situation. Our treatment program is a monthly subscription, and some patients start to spread out their medication as they start to feel better, which spreads out their refill; to continue to support patients regardless of if they need extra refills due to increasing dosage or spread out their refills, we keep the charge date the same every month. We never want anyone to feel scammed and we want to look into your specific account to assist here.
Thank you for your patience as we look into this. And we're wishing you well on your continued wellness journey.

Great Medication- Horrible customer service.
Hands down simultaneously the best medication model and the worst customer service model ever imagined. As an 18 month patient, I can speak to both with confidence.
First, the customer service nightmare(s)-
The "care" team offers little to no empathy, understanding, or solutions depending on who you have the pleasure of speaking to that particular day. There is no consistency in answers or support- depending on the day/person they will tell you two completely different stories that don't even begin to match up or make sense together. It is legitimately the closest thing I can imagine to living in an endless twilight zone episode...it never ends, there is never a suitable or sensible resolution, and it is absolutely maddening. I've recently decided just the hassle of having to explain myself 18 thousand times to numerous reps while slowly descending into madness and effectively getting nowhere has finally outweighed the benefits of the medication to me. It has been extremely detrimental to my mental health and I can't justify that anymore.
Now-The medication.
The low dose troches are fantastic. I went from taking 4 different daily psychiatric meds (one of which I was on a significantly higher dose than the daily max for a LONG time) to zero (minus the troches). So, I effectively was able to replace all 4 with just the ketamine, and I feel better on this than I ever have in my life. I'm not really sure where i'll go from here or how i'll manage without it, I just can't handle the poor customer service model anymore. It's too much. But, yeah- give the troches a try. As long as you never encounter a problem, hiccup, or late payment you'll be fine and probably feel like a million bucks. If you *do* need assistance at any point in your journey- good luck.
Edit- 12/29/2024
No update as of yet regarding this particular review, or the promise made to look into it further.
I did, however, receive another cold and unhelpful response from the "care" team via email today. So it continues, unfortunately.

Hi Nancy, we're sorry to hear about this. Our treatment starts patients off on the lowest dose and provides daily guidance to help you discover the right dose for you. While some patients feel something immediately, for many, it takes a little time until they find their optimal dose. We'll look into your situation and reach out directly!

Poorly managed, badly operated
The medication itself is extremely helpful, but that is available outside of Joyous. The program itself is poorly run, the doctors don't care, and the customer service is very hard to contact. My medication is late EVERY. SINGLE. MONTH. I have messaged them about this incessantly and they do not care in the slightest so my medication continues to be late. There has been one single month my medication has shown up on time since I started the program almost two years ago. The one and only reason I continue to use them is because it's significantly cheaper to use than any other of the at-home ketamine programs. If there was a more affordable option, I'd switch immediately and never look back.
