I think like a lot of people I found Joyous after researching therapeutic ketamine, deciding it was something I wanted to try, and then getting sticker shock looking at how much money most clinics charge per session—and how little insurance would reimburse me for it. I was skeptical at first that low dose treatment would do anything for me but I took a chance and I’m very glad I did. The cost is very reasonable which means I’m able to stick with it for the long term and see the results of the treatment over time. The process reminds me of taking an online class, you’ll meet with a prescriber every so often and have check-ins over text but other than that it’s pretty much up to you to seek out resources or participate in the community discussions if you want more assistance. You’ll get as much out of it as you put in. Apart from some minor tech issues I haven’t had any problems with the site or scheduling meetings, etc. I think for what it is and how little they charge, you really can’t beat this service. If, like me, you’ve tried the usual options and nothing seems to work or you don’t like the way they make you feel, this is worth trying.
