I really wanted to like Midi. I've been with them for 4 months. The practitioner I saw was knowledgeable and kind. I liked the treatment plan she devised. However, I hate their website interface. You have to log in to two separate portals to interact with anyone. Plus, there have been ongoing billing issues. I was told my insurance covered these visits, then I received an almost $500 bill. Then, I was told it was just a discrepancy and that my bill would be removed. It was removed for a short time, but always reappears. Now it's back with a 2-month late notice. At this point, I'm ready to switch to another provider and most likely will.

Nice idea, but lackluster follow-through
The communication between appointments wasn't great. I sent an email to the provider, received a "We are forwarding your message" response, and then got a "How'd we do?" survey, as if the work was done. They also acknowledge the nationwide shortage of estradiol patches (partially caused--or at least not helped--by the popularity of clinics like MIDI) but their advice is "Call different pharmacies." I found an online pharmacy that required a different kind of uploaded prescription (email or fax) and they weren't able to do that. During the appointment the provider said she could email it directly to me, but then I heard nothing. After I reached out to request it, I was given a flat "We don't do that" (after the provider said she could--and did not let me know otherwise).
Recognizing that there's a shortage (I was first told about it by my MIDI clinician! They know!), they need to be even a little flexible about how to get prescriptions to people!
The appointments themselves were good, and I appreciated the fact that they ordered comprehensive blood tests. But if I can't get a prescription filled due to their inflexibility I will just ask my regular provider for it and stop paying a special clinic. It may be getting too big for its capacities.
I was very disappointed with my experience with Midi as a self-pay patient seeking testosterone therapy.
The initial consultation cost $250 and lasted approximately 10 minutes. During that visit, I was told I would also need:
- a separate follow-up visit to review labs ($150)
- an additional required DEA-provider visit before treatment could even begin ($150)
This brought the actual startup cost to approximately $550 BEFORE medication, which was never made clear upfront.
Additionally, labs were not included and could have added another approximately $100–400 depending on the testing facility used. In reality, the true startup cost for self-pay patients may approach $650–950 before even receiving treatment.
As someone without insurance, transparency around process and cost is extremely important. Had I understood the true required costs in advance, I would not have booked the appointment.
What frustrated me most was not just the pricing, but the lack of meaningful value provided during the initial consult and the complete unwillingness to offer any flexibility, consolidation, partial refund, or accommodation after concerns were raised. The response was essentially just “sorry” and an offer to cancel.
I had genuinely hoped to continue using Midi for this and potentially other services, but unfortunately this experience changed that.
I strongly encourage self-pay patients to get complete clarification on ALL required appointments, processes, lab costs, and total expected startup expenses before booking.

Customer service is non existent.
I am being charged for 2 NEW PATIENT appointments back to back, as if you can be a new patient twice! That does not make sense! The worst part is trying to get a hold of a human being in billing to try to resolve the issue or have the bill run by my insurance. You are stuck with an email for “support “. But get no such service! Worst mistake I made contacting them.

Dismissed by provider
I had an appointment with Angela Collier, NP, a Midi provider on March 20. I was excited to chat with someone regarding my peri menopausal symptoms and changes that I have noticed in my body in the past couple of years. Her advice and dismissal of my symptoms was again disheartening. She told me to exercise, watch what I eat and minimize alcohol and caffeine (already do those things and have for a while, but still experiencing changes). I was also told by her that because I wasn't having hot flashes, I wasn't experiencing perimenopause.
I have met with my GP as well as my gynecologist (both women), and have felt rushed and dismissed when discussing changes and symptoms that I have been experiencing. I told my GP that I had had some anxiety, fatigue and exhaustion and she prescribed me an antidepressant, and then when I was in my appointment with my gynecologist, I felt that she was rushed when I was asking my questions about hormone levels, possible hormone replacement therapy and changes that I'd noticed.
Super tired of being dismissed by doctors/NPs regarding my symptoms. I FEEL different. I might not be experiencing specific menopause symptoms, and my hormone levels are borderline, but there's definitely SOMETHING going on. Take some time and actually listen and care about what the patient is saying.
I would rate my Midi appointment a 1/5

Do not recommend
Do not recommend, after checking with my insurance that I was covered for GLP-1 they did not run my insurance properly stating that my policy was expired, it is not expired. I was under the belief that I would be paying a co-pay for a normal doctors appointment and received a bill for 9 times that. On top of that after my appointment, I was told they would be in contact with me. They ended up never replying to my message trying to get my insurance situation fixed and charged me as if I don’t have insurance. This is a scam do not go through them!

The fact of the matter is they provided…
The fact of the matter is they provided a level of care that most conventional Drs don't. My health & care mattered to them.

My clinician was extremely supportive…
My clinician was extremely supportive and knowledgeable. She understood my symptoms and concerns and was able to provide me with the best medical support right away.
