The nurse practitioner was very delightful. She answered all my questions and concerns. She also gave several suggestions to help with my hot flashes, brain fog, and weight loss. I was very pleased with the virtual visit.

Pros and Cons of Midi. Sadly, many more Cons
I used Midi for almost two years, ending in December 2023. There are pros and cons to working with them, but unfortunately the cons won.
They are good at providing basic peri, menopause and post menopausal care. If you are having issues you feel are related to peri/meno/post menopause, talk to them.
However, I did not find any of the providers to be at all innovative. Meaning they came up with solid, reasonable solutions for the many symptoms of menopause care.
Which is fine, if all you need is basic. Which at the time, is all I needed. Had I gone to them early in peri-menopause or menopause, I am not convinced they could have helped me as my symptoms were awful.
Importantly, your care is only as good as the people Midi matches you with. They will not match you with a doctor, but rather a NP (Nurse Practitioner) who specializes in menopause care. I assume the doctors are too expensive to meet with, or the NP all consult with doctors behind the scenes. I do not know.
That being said, the NPs do not seem to stick around very long. You will work with someone, like them, and then they leave. That does not speak well of Midi.
The downside, and this is a big one, is that the online-only messaging system SUCKS. It is very hard to get a response from anyone, especially in a timely manner. They seem to have an endless stream of office people, and little communication between them. Every response is from a different name, and they seem to have no accountability.
They are astoundingly unhelpful, even with basic things like getting messages to your provider. Having said that, it seems that even the providers take a long time to get back to you, even with serious problems.
In addition, they do not use a customer service app (ex. Zendesk) that would make it easy and streamlined. Your only recourse is through the janky, low tech website.
And, the usability of their platform is ridiculously bad. It is very 2001, low tech and confusing to use. I complained about it in 2022, and they said they were "working on it." It looks like they have not.
Recently, I reached out to them with a medical query related to my time with them. Despite no longer being a "member", the request is in regards to the time I WAS a member. So, why not answer my message? I am not asking for an appointment, only paperwork! I find that to be not only rude, but unethical. And, further underlines why I stopped using them.

I Immediately felt comfortable
My MIDI clinician made me feel very comfortable. She answered all my questions. At age 56, I finally feel like there is some place to help me understand what is happening to my body and can help! I love that MIDI is all about menopause because that is usually given zero attention in annual physicals. Most women don’t even know what stage of menopause they are in, I didn’t! I also didn’t know that so many of the symptoms I had been experiencing were menopause related and that there are safe and effective treatments readily available to me. MIDI accepts my insurance and most of my prescription was also covered. My MIDI clinician made the whole process very simple and I am looking forward to our next appointment.
I just wish the video had been working on her end. I couldn’t see her but her voice was very warm and friendly. That was most important to me.

Clinically Sound. Billing Dept is Horrible.
Fair update: The billing department did indeed respond today. This has allowed me to choose from my healthcare options. Thank you.
The first visit was good if not a bit rushed. My treatment for perimenopause seems to be on target. However, the billing department is atrocious. They sent me a bill claiming I am self pay despite providing all of my insurance information. I tried to call, but was hung up on by voicemail. I sent an email. I have received no response besides a form letter after five days, yet they can send me reminders about the bill. I am about to get my care elsewhere despite a perfectly good provider and that's sad.

Midi is amazing
Midi is amazing! I’ve spent many years having my symptoms minimized or downright ignored. Although my labs always come back good, I know what I’m feeling. Dr. Hendricksma has listened to me every step of the way and she helped me connect my symptoms to perimenopause. She explains everything very well so that I’m informed of my health. She’s a genuinely caring person and the world needs more health professionals like her. I will recommend Midi to everyone I know who could use them.

Totally ghosted once I had billing questions
First visit went fine. Then I got my bill. They like to brag that they’re in network with BCBS but what they don’t tell you is you’ll still owe close to $200 for one appointment even if you have insurance. Fine, I went ahead and paid the bill. I have emailed them twice now in the last week asking how much future visits would be, and how often I would be required to see the provider. They are completely ghosting me. How can I figure out if this is a good long term solution for me if no one will give me answers? Guess they got what they wanted $$$ and now they are done with me.
