I use this bank for a savings for my…daughters future
I use this bank for a savings for my daughter has high interest and let the money sit as long as you want. For other things I don't try to get a loan or not, to me if you keep money on there then you can get a loan from them, but if you keep small balance don't expect a loan. For me, great savings account.

Credit Karma suggested this bank
Credit Karma suggested this bank. I loved the low interest rate & that it was a “karma guarantee” loan. However…
I’m a 1099, business owner. I’m not sure if they should change their “note gross before deductions” differently for self employed, but they insisted on showing more income or my application will ve closed.
More income can not be defined as a profit on selling a house, recent income reports (only in end of year tax format), or anything other than a W-2, Child Support or Alimony (which shouldn’t be considered guaranteed income, to be fair, as it’s sadly common that it goes unpaid).
I sent them my gross amount & they said it doesn’t add up. Yet, I can’t speak with a bank loan officer, only a representative, and they are not trained to explain why. They stated there’s no phone number or way to transfer to the loan department.
My credit is very good. I sold my house (yes, that lowered my overall score), and I wished to combine all my credit cards into a consolidated personal loan (not wishing to further my debt, just pay it off faster, 1 payment, lower interest). I’ve never been late on paying any loan, credit card payment, nothing.
I will say I’m an idiot for trying twice, only because I realized my old amount was still showing on Credit Karma, and I didn’t update it.
Because I can’t prove more income, even though I clearly stated what was gross, I’m being denied, with no way to speak to anyone, and now a lowered credit score from 2 hard pulls, & no way of knowing how to make it correct.
If I had known how to properly state my income (versus how they state to enter it) or had the ability to speak to someone in the actual loan department, so I could properly do such, maybe they would have more business or a fair recommendation.

Don't Put your hard earned money here
I opened a savings account back in March with Jenius with very large sum of money. I set up the savings account because it outperformed any jumbo CDs I had. I had been using the account to withdraw small amounts on a monthly basis which, due to their great rates really paid for itself. After having this account for over 6 months, taking very little out, having matured CDs auto transferred into my account, they suddenly put a hold on a small transfer scheduled and marked it for pending for over 5 days. They did not send me an email, but I received a call from their Verifications department 5 days later saying that they needed a bank statement from the original account used to open the account from 6 months ago to "prove it was an account in my name". How would another well know bank transfer funds any other way and why wait 6 months?? That account was closed as all the monies were used to fund the savings account with them. They restated they needed that statement. I sent it to them however they still did not release the money. I was on the phone with them for hours. Then they told me, no wrong bank. They were going to hold the money I needed until the account I was transferring it to approved the transfer. On my part, I wanted the money sent another account in the same bank that I always get funds sent to. Then the story changed and they said it was now ok to send the money because they realized that it was the same bank so they could just take care of the transfer. The real killer....they confirmed the transfer to the WRONG BANK..the account that I closed to begin with!!! I pulled up my transfer with them, and I read them that the transfer was approved for the bank and account that I asked for not for the one I closed. Oh My G-D! I am looking for a new bank run by professionals who went to college!!!!

No experts to talk to
No experts to talk to: We started the process trying to get a loan through JeniusBank two weeks ago uploading documents through their online portal but never were able to speak to a loan expert. While their customer service reps are friendly, they don't know anything about loans and even when we asked to speak to a professional we were told we couldn't. We discovered two weeks into the process after uploading documents every single day with requests to include information or omit information that the problem was my husband's information was on our joint tax return. They kept saying only one person can apply but then kept asking for documentation of all the income that showed up on the joint tax return only to turn around get upset all over again that it was included. It became a vicious cycle until I finally said no way are we going any further with Jenius Bank. Please be aware with JenuisBank even if you are married only one person can apply for the loan and if you filed a joint return, that apparently is perplexing for them. Also they did a hard pull of my credit during this process instead of saying they had all the information they needed first and then doing the hard pull. Other banks make sure they have that information first before they do it. This of course has put a ding on my credit and I now have to go with another lender and this could affect my interest rate. This was very frustrating.

Absolutely the worst banking experience…
Absolutely the worst banking experience of my entire life. I opened a savings account for the high interest rate. I then proceeded to deposit a substantial sum of money into the account. They flagged it as fraud. I had multiple conversations with the fraud department and gave them bank statements, and then my account was locked. I had no access to my money, could not login, could not get my money moved back to my bank, and could not close account while they claim they are concerned about fraud. There is no fraud, but they will certainly never touch my money again.

Great service, excellent withdrawal timing, easy
I am not sure what all the issues are with withdrawing funds from this account. I have made three, what I feel are substantial, withdrawals just under the daily limit and it took 2-3 days for the funds to hit my account. No different than the timing I get from my other on-line banking services. Customer support has been great and have been able to provide me an answer every time. It is nice to be able to pick up a phone and talk to someone vs. doing everything digitally.

Simple and easy
I have a Savings account with Jenius Bank. Some people complain about the multiple authentication and wanting personal information. I believe that is there for your own protection. So far I have been able to make transfers flawlessly without any issues. It is as simple as it gets.

One of the worst banking experiences I…
One of the worst banking experiences I have had with online banking (had HSBC, ING, Marcus, Capital One, and CIT).
They accept your money and then don't return it when desired. They put up all kinds of obstacles and claim its "pending review". This is after going through all kinds of authentication and the money simply going back to where it came from!
Update 8/30/2024: While I have not heard from anyone at Jenius, they are returning funds I transferred over there. Still questionable behavior towards the idea of "protecting" my money but at least the funds are either back to where they came from or on their way. Have not decided yet whether to do online savings with them or not because all the online banking venues get lousy ratings. BTW, all transfers I initiated were well under the $50K daily limit and back to the originating account. So, their fraud detection or security process is apparently woefully lacking. To top it off, they require a 2FA code for getting into the account AND another one for any withdrawals!
This industry needs serious regulatory review, including but not limited to, the agreements these shops had us "sign", use of arbitration rather than courts, and these silly security procedures that someone came up with that make no sense. There is a reason why the participants in online high yield savings have lousy reviews!
