The only way to get your statements is through snail mail. It took them 2-3days to “process” my statements and now I have to wait 7-10 business days to get them. They don’t send encrypted emails, they don’t have an online system, they don’t have a way to fax. Their bank closing process has been extremely poor.

Disappointed
I was a customer with Jenius for over a year and a half and always made my payments on time. Unfortunately, I lost my job and proactively contacted them to see if they offered any hardship assistance or temporary accommodations while I searched for new employment. They declined to provide any assistance.
Despite my financial situation, I continued making payments to the best of my ability. In April, I was approximately $200 short. During this time, I was doing DoorDash and Uber work, applying for jobs daily, and making every effort to stay current on my obligations. I reached out again and asked whether any grace period or hardship option was available, but was again told no.
What concerned me most was a conversation with a customer service representative who stated that companies in the United States are required to report late payments. My understanding is that lenders are not required to report payment history; however, if they choose to report it, they must do so accurately under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Whether this was a misunderstanding or misinformation, it did not inspire confidence.
In contrast, every other financial institution I worked with during this difficult period was willing to discuss hardship options or provide some level of flexibility. Jenius was the only lender that was unwilling to work with me despite my long history of on-time payments and my efforts to remain in good standing.
Adding to the frustration, in May my loan was transferred to another company. Customers were then responsible for navigating a new payment system, creating a new account, linking bank information, and ensuring payments continued without interruption.
My experience with Jenius was disappointing. Based on the lack of hardship assistance, poor customer communication, and the transition process after the loan transfer, I would not recommend this bank.

debiting my account before due date
My account is on auto pay for the 20th. They chose to debit my account on the 18th causing multiple overdrafts to my account. I reported this to their Customer Service department and their disposition is too bad, so sad. I asked to speak with a supervisor and they refused my request. They refuse to take me off autopay so I had to contact my bank to stop them from hitting my account. These people are crooks, avoid them like the plague. Moving forward I'll be refinancing my loan with another bank.

Stay away
They do not have an email or even fax. I was told the only way I can send any documents is to a P.O. Box. Extremely poor customer service. Each time I call, they give different answers. I was requesting assistance due to financial hardship, but they will not offer any. Would not listen to me. Another one of Credit Karma's wonderful recommendations!!!

Bank is shutting down!
If you are planning on trying to open an account, please do not. I have been with Jenius for some time, and it was great, but now I find out that I have a restriction on my account and cannot get the money out, and the investigation will last 30 days. I could lose my money. I am trying to help you as of 2/20/2026

Stay way from that made up web only bank
If I could give them a negative star, I would. Never do business with that made up bank. Customer service is a joke. Holding up my money and not completing transfer request as asked for despite that I am strictly complying with their $50K transfer per day rule. FTC complaint is next

Unfortunately
Unfortunately, I fell for this. Its an interest first bank. Every day the loan goes up and up. They collect all interest first before they begin paying the principle. IMO I feel like that should be illegal. I have a car loan and a bank loan and when I pay it goes down but with this bank it goes up. So you never feel like you are paying it off. Reason is its an interest first loan. Once you have paid all the interest then they begin the principle. You can pay extra but the point of the loan is to pay it off over time with the monthly. Yes, it does but only once theve collected interest first. Sadly, they dont care about you and they could care less what is going on. The banks that do this should be investigated and I wish the government would crack down on interest first loans.
