Will hold your money hostage when you’re trying to make a transfer to an account that you had transferred in and out of MULTIPLE times. I scheduled a transfer 2 weeks ago to move on Apr 9 to our main checking account. Jenius sat on it bc they needed proof of an unrelated account that I had deposited from earlier that week. Still has not hit our main checking account as of Apr 12. This is not an isolated incident for us. Not worth the hassle. Plenty of other online options that have good APYR. Will be closing our account this month.

When attempting to move funds, they refused to transfer my money to any other account other than the one that I opened the account with, without scanned copy of my most recent bank statements. Regret even putting in the time to deal with them.

The verification process at Jenius Bank is extremely slow and frustrating. If one staff member can’t handle the task, they simply pass you on to someone else, leaving you waiting endlessly without proper communication. If opening an account is already this complicated, I worry that resolving future issues or bank errors would be even more time-consuming. The staff seem to operate like machines—poorly trained and lacking professionalism. I strongly suggest considering a bank with a more reliable system and a higher standard of customer service.

I closed my MM account with Jenius and was told Jenius does not make ACH transfers but instead mails a check. That involved waiting a week before I received the check. My bank put a hold on the check for six days. Had Jenius done a ACH transfer the funds would have been available immediately; instead I must wait over ten business days to access my finds. UNACCEPTABLE

Due to a family emergency, I needed money immediately and set up a transfer online from my Jenius Bank account. Some Genius immediately blocked the transfer due to suspected fraud. The only fraud here is Jenius Bank. If they suspected fraud, they could have phoned me to verify the transfer... they didn't. In their infinite wisdom, they have now blocked me from logging in online to my Jenius Bank account and all access to my money.

I applied for a small loan through Jenius Bank due to their Credit Karma recommendation and low interest rate. Trust me when I say to move on down the Credit Karma recommendation list until you see a suggestion other than Jenius Bank. The application process was very difficult. After the application, they did a hard credit pull before they started asking for tons of documentation that took days to try and upload as their application only allows one document to be uploaded at a time. After eight days and finally realizing they were not going to get back with me, I applied with Best Egg and was approved in 3 minutes with no documentation! I have still not heard anything from them and I am sure they will say the application closed, but I was in contact with them every day, so it was not on my end that it was closed! Beware!

I set up a simple savings account. Setting up the account took 2 chats and 3 phone calls. I made a deposit requiring several phone calls. I initiated a small test withdrawal. There was no money in the account, and I was "restricted" from getting in the account. The only thing this place is missing is a Nigerian accent.

They are a bait and switch bank. Offered a certain percentage rate and then said I was approved. Put a hit on my credit report, asked for my bank account number, my last two w2's then said oh you don't meet the income requirement! I have paid several loans back from different lenders. Never late on anything and pay credit card payment at least three or four times the amount due. Credit score is good. I believe I am a victim of of Age Discrimination. They turned around and offered me 8,000 dollars at 32% interest!!! That's twice my credit card interest!! They are scammers and discriminating loan sharks and I know I can't do anything about it but I will contact whoever I can to file complaints. Don't trust this bank! Now they have all of my personal info!
