last April I bought 25 Freesia bulbs and was waiting all the summer for beautiful flowers. Nothing happened though, not even one bulb had germinated. Refund was denied for the reason that complaint was filed after expiration of guaranteed time frame.

Ordered 600 tulip bulbs
Ordered 600 tulip bulbs. Many were rotten and small. They requested photos which I sent. Asked again (-stall tactic) Ultimately gave me a $2.30 credit. They can plant their credit where the sun doesn't shine.
I won't be ordering from them again.
Their 100% grow guarantee is 100% BS!

Very unhappy with Hollander Bulbs
Very unhappy with Hollander Bulbs. I bought 4 bulbs as Christmas presents. I tried to reach out to customer service no answer. One of the bulbs rotted in the package and three were almost full grown before Christmas. Worse customer service ever.

Wax Bulbs Come with No Instructions!
I placed three orders with this company for holiday gifts this year. So far only one recipient has received the delivery, so I will do further reviews later. But, in this case, I had sent a single "waxed" bulb in a "sweater" (a knitted covering). The website explains that the waxed bulb contains its own nutrients and water and needs no attention to grow into an amaryllis flower except some sunlight. However, when the recipient got the the bulb (as depicted on line) it apparently came with generic instructions that the company sends with their regular bulbs meant to be planted, informing the recipient to immediately plant the bulbs. There is no explanation about the bulb not needing additional care except sunlight. This was most confusing to the recipient, who is not in a situation to take care of a regular bulb with soil and water, and I'm just glad I intercepted the situation so that I could explain what to do. I really think the company should have separate instructions for waxed bulbs; otherwise recipients will be potting unnecessarily. I don't know yet whether the bulb will bloom as promised. More on that in a few weeks time.
Meanwhile, I wrote the other two recipients about this problem prior to their deliveries, thus spoiling the "surprise" element of the gift-giving.
Post-Edit Comment: I gave these bulbs as party favors at a small event and sent some to folks in rehab. The recipients were delighted. I kept one bulb myself to see how it worked out. It's only a week into the sunshine but the bulb is definitely sprouting - up about 3" now, so it seems to be doing its thing very nicely. The company wrote to tell me they had "run out" of the correct instructions and I appreciate hearing from them. Nonetheless the insertion of the incorrect instructions defeated the purpose of getting the waxed bulbs, which was to require no labor on the part of the recipients, some of whom as mentioned are in rehab etc. Instead, the instructions they inserted would have had people digging holes in pots and "planting" the waxed bulbs. Fortunately, I got to them in time to thwart that problem.

Total rip off
This company will charge your card and NEVER send you anything!! I ordered the Daffodils they advertise in the late summer, with early fall delivery. It is now December and I didn't receive them. When I called they said I should have complained sooner. They have 88% one star reviews. Do Not order from them they are scammers!!

I ordered over $700 worth of beautiful…
I ordered over $700 worth of beautiful bulbs to plant in the fall and a few days later in the middle of summer here came the package. I stored it as was told as you don’t put bulbs in the ground in summer when I opened the box they had been improperly packaged no ventilation they melted together. Everything was rotten and I called to talk to him about it and they told me that they were summer crops. No, they grow in the summer. You plant them in the spring, They refuse to give me a refund or a new package of everything I’d purchase so I called my credit card company and told him how everything had arrived and two days prior Breck’s Bulbs had arrived for planting so I am completely dissatisfied and it looks like I’m gonna have to go through the Better Business Bureau to get them to satisfy the money or the merchandise and to be honest I would never do business with them again they sent me all their trash from the end of the year

THE WORST! Terrible business. Read the Reddit forum! Too bad I didn't see it before
SO deceiving. They've got so much stuff online...much more than so many nurseries, and prices are good! Too good to be true, that is. I was excited and I figured I'd order just about everything from them! This was the absolute worst experience I have had with an online nursery, and I ordered from 3 nurseries this year, and wish I would have just stuck with the other two. Holland Bulb Farms just doesn't care. Online it says bulbs ship starting 10/1. My order contained no perennials, so no reason for big a hold up. My order was sent A FULL MONTH after I ordered it, despite reaching out via email and requesting the earliest date possible, and it was only bulbs. I didn't hear back after a week, so I emailed again. NOTHING. It took another week to get to me because they were too cheap to send it any way other than USPS s-l-o-w rate! One set of bulbs was missing, and another set of less common, much more expensive roots were totally shriveled up. I tried calling for help, and they re-sent me the missing item, which took another FULL WEEK because they had no urge to rush it to me, but at that point "they were sold out" of the dried up ones, so after a bit of a fight and sending photos of this garbage for verification, they finally refunded me. I've planted the remaining bulbs, but I am not putting my eggs in one basket. Being too late in the season, I couldn't get these exact rare roots anywhere else, so I am the one who lost out. They did nothing else to make it up to me. I even spoke with a manager (which was a grand effort on my part to get a hold of one) who said that they, as a company, "don't do anything additional for customers to make up for their mistakes"...probably because it happens so much?! So, I guess that they don't care that they have lost a customer!
