I don't know what's going on internally with HBF. They used to provide a quality product and the past two orders resulted in moldy bulbs; the next order was for lily bulbs and half of them didn't produce flowers. This latest one one recently they advertised "Tradescantia Pink Paradise Houseplant" where the picture provided was a true true pink at a rather high price for a starter plant. I received plain purple zebra Tradescantia. It's extremely disappointing considering the purple ones are a dime a dozen. I really don't think I'm going to purchase from them again. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I'm double shamed now. Three strikes you're out.

Lack of communication regarding late shipment. With the promised late shipping date it will be very late getting them into the ground. Waiting and hoping the quality of the bulbs is satisfactory. I should have checked their reviews before ordering.

NOT impressed. The lilac shrub I bought was fine, that's why the 2 stars, but the rest of the order either didn't sprout and the ones that did were the wrong plants. I'm not an expert, I'd say I am very experienced. I was really looking forward to the Ranunculus, but sadly something else was in the bags marked 'ranunculus', I have no idea what they are, but sure not ranunculus. Nothing else came up, and it's not me nor the soil, I have plenty of other plants, a huge variety, all doing fine. I sent a photo of the wrong plant/flower to them and never heard back on what it could be. And their "100% guarantee" is NOT guaranteed! VERY disappointed.

Ordered paperwhites, some in pots for gifts others loose to plant myself. Those in pots flowered. Loose ones in separate pot grew stems but no flowers, They are side by side - same sun, same water . Go Figure??

I ordered a total of 14 amaryllis bulbs for 14 different people as gifts. 4 our of 14 were defective. I contacted the company and sent pictures and they sent out replacements but for one person they got 2 replacements and they were both defective. You can not trust the quality of this companies product. I have ordered from them in the past without a problem. I am sorry that I will not be able to use them next year for my Christmas gifts but I don't want to risk so much disappointment and hassle.

Order was missing product that showed as in stock when I ordered. Also, two daylily roots had crown rot, and the representative I chatted with basically told me to send photos, and they'd decide what to do. Poor quality product, when it actually is in the order. Never again!

Missing bulbs from batch and would only credit me. I had to ask if they would send me a replacement, but they said no. I had to email twice inquiring where my order was, especially since I wanted plant before the ground freezes. Would not order from them again.

I ordered 10 iris rhizomes. When my shipment arrived the box contained someone else's order. I notified the company. They replied that the irises I'd ordered were now out of stock and they gave me a refund. Oddly enough, Tulip World, which is owned by Holland Bulb Farms, claims to have 93 of the same iris in stock, at a much higher price however. This company seems incompetent to me and I won't order from them again.
