Their machines come altered from factory settling and don't work. I have left ample time (over 2 years) for them to rectify the situation, but as they have done nothing other than confirming there is an issue and then not helping further, I feel it is only fair to warn others of this customer service.

Worth considering before purchasing merchandise from HIDevolution
My experience with HIDevolution and why it could be worth considering it before purchasing anything from them. Purchased a Leopard GP63 8RE-602 from HIDevolution (Computer Evolution Inc.), looking to upgrade my system. Mr. Donald Stratton indicated that since I was not interested in a gaming laptop per se, but in a good workstation, he recommended the Leopard GP63. That the Leopard could easily meet my computing requirements fan noise level and reliability, as he had never experienced a problem with his personal unit. However, upon arrival the laptop exhibited significant performance issues. The machine would suddenly slow-down, heat-up, until it would freeze. “Fortunately”, (in both cases) the problems manifested themselves consistently while being examined remotely by one of their technicians. After numerous attempts to fix that and other issues, the unit had to be returned, after me raising the time frame issue, just a few days short of the 30 day warranty period! What would have happened if the 30 days had elapsed, is only a guess, but not a comforting one after experiencing how they managed the rest of the situations. They claim another unit(?), same model and configuration, was sent as replacement.
The replacement laptop began exhibiting issues the same day it arrived. They claim it was a “totally new unit” (CPU & GPU). However, the way the replacement unit behaved, makes it a likely and a very uncomfortable possibility they were not able to solve the problems. If this was a software issue on my side (as they latter claimed), why request sending the replacement laptop back for another attempt at fixing it?). When asked to make a realistic offer that would consider the significant amount of time and effort I had already invested in helping them find a solution (for 3 months), the request was unceremoniously declined and no offer was made to exchange the unit for another model or any other way to solve the situation (although they claim to the contrary), making the situation even more uncomfortable, and I still had a completely paid for, yet non-working laptop to my name and soon to be in their possession.
Under those circumstances, in reality I had no option but “to accept” the refund in an attempt to cut my losses. I was charged a 5% restocking fee which was reduced from 10% “to show their appreciation for the regrettable experience”. Why a restocking fee, it was not my desire or choice to return the laptops, it was the result of them not being able to realistically solve the problems, with both laptops. This was definitely not a change of mind or a capricious request for return of merchandize on my part. Both units exhibited significant problems which could not be fixed, even after replacing one of the units. Moreover, the fact that I was not offered a different model or any other alternative, weighed heavily in considering terminating the business transaction, as by now I was quite concerned with what they could come-up with next.
All these situations could have been totally avoided if HIDevolution had adopted a more proactive, functional and realistic client support program which addressed and implemented adequate procedures and exhibited dispositions to effectively manage a situation like this one. Not many clients are willing to invest three months of their time and effort to assist a business in their attempt to find a solution to a problem of a product they sold. That is why taking the time to write these incidents is important to me, so others hopefully do not have to endure a similar unfair experience when they purchase a malfunctioning device from HIDevolution, from a business that seems to have managed to find a legal way to, when consider fitting, wiggle their way out of assuming responsibility and due diligence for their products. Under this type of scenario, things will either be OK if the computer they ship you turns out Ok, or incredibly bad and frustrating if there is something wrong that cannot be solved remotely. Are you willing to gamble that you’ll get a good computer?

Dear Dan,
We sincerely apologize for the experience you had trying to run your applications successfully. Like you, we spent considerable time in a good faith effort to resolve your technical issues.
While we regret that your experience was time consuming, frustrating and unpleasant, the terms of our warranty, to which you agreed when you purchased the laptop, do not provide for the type of compensation you seek. Please reference your Additional Documents attachment where I explained this to you in my email of May 11th.
We did offer you alternative resolutions throughout the process.
The normal solution would have been to have you return it for a 2nd time for warranty repair using our pre-paid shipping labels at no cost to you. While we respect your concern that doing this would not produce the results you desired, it is only reasonable to give any merchant or manufacturer more than one opportunity under warranty to resolve issues with such a complex product as a laptop computer. You declined.
We offered you an exchange for another model you wanted with no restocking for the returned model. You declined.
You did accept the alternative we offered which included an extension of time to exercise your 30-Day Return Privilege which had already expired and a 50% reduction in your restocking fee, with the rest of our Return Policy terms remaining unchanged. We reminded you in our email of May13th. Please note the paragraph just above the paragraph you highlight in your Additional Documents attachment, quoted here: “Please keep in mind the rest of the terms for return for refund will remain the same, only the time period will be extended to 7 business days from today and the restocking fee will be lowered to 5%.”.
You accepted this as evidenced by shipping it to us. We applied the appropriate deductions, including but not limited to the reduced restocking fee, and gave you the resulting refund.
That concluded our transaction and the case was closed. Since you already agreed to the resolution and we have each performed our agreed to obligations thereunder, we will not re-open this case.

HID comes through.
Hey guys,
I bought a MSI gaming laptop from HID. They shipped the laptop on the day they said they would. Had no problems with shipping arrived pretty quickly. I had a few modifications done that would help with heat. The laptop doesn't overheat at all stays under 80 Celsius and lower depending on the fan options selected. Ted handled all the questions I had like a pro. It's also nice having the lifetime customer service so that I can call them up with any questions. I've already talked their support to get help with some battery saving options that helped extend the battery life 2-3 hours. So far so good. 1 month in.
