I am taking it that this rating means overall. The 420 works as expected. The only thing that I had to do is add weatherstripping to the inside of the door because of the gaps. The support group is great and knowledgeable!

Review of product and services
The quality of the grow boxes is very good. I’ve used it a couple of times now and have had no issues. Support services are good. They answer inquiries when in a day or so They have online question and answer sessions, which are especially helpful for new growers. Their subscription service is a little pricey, but I definitely recommend you use it at least once for the guidance you will need if you are a new grower.

An honest real review
Oh where do I start? Germination is pointless with hey Abby, the sponge set is a waste of time. There are no heat controls, the fans are very weak, and the carbon filter does little to nothing. The nutrients that you have to subscribe to get are just lazy, they have you use the same nutrient combination throughout the whole grow. The app sucks as well with misspellings as well as instructional videos that are 30 seconds long ( you basically need to do all your own research if you’re going to succeed). They claim you can grow up to 8 ounces which is b.s. I was able to produce 3 ounces of dried asparagus after 3 seeds and resorting to my own research. It will grow but not as you’re gonna hope for

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience wasn't successful. By looking into your cases, we found that just four months ago, you were actively communicating with our growers team about defoliating during flowering, and prior to that, you sought tips throughout your growing journey. The picture you shared with us showed your plant looking great, and we hadn't received any complaints from you until now. We're surprised by this review and would like to understand more about what may have led to your dissatisfaction. We value your input and would like to offer our support to address any issues or challenges you may have during the growing journey. Please reach out to us so we can work together to improve your experience. You can reach us by livechat, 1 on 1 support, email at [email protected], or simply give us a call at 888-621-4777 when convenient. Happy growing!

Dark clouds but silver linings
One thing I will grant Hey Abby is their customer service ultimately will address any issues you may have. The drawback I've seen is Customer Service is actually broken up into separate teams (e.g. one that addresses grow and warranty questions/issues, one that handles operational issues like missing nutrients in orders, questions on order statuses, etc.) - so you never clearly know who you should be working with on any specific issue since they don't represent themselves as different support teams and pass issues off between them. On the Operations side, it took me two full months to address all order and missing items issues over MANY back-and-forth emails. Grow box design has MANY light leaks with no resolution requiring after-market solutions (and extra out-of-pocket expenses) to fix. All this being said, the app and subscription support has been very responsive and helpful and they've got crowdsourcing mastered! Expect a steep learning curve but when comparing this grow product to their competition, they're clearly ahead of the pack.

Just do it
I am loving my experience with the HeyAbby grow box and community. The box itself has been a great learning experience with growing overall. Overall, the HeyAbby grow box is highly intuitive, well-built, very appealing to look at, and most importantly…automated! The live support within the app has been very helpful to a new grower like myself and the team has been reliable, quick to respond, and friendly. The grower community within the HeyAbby App and Discord is another strong perk. Loving everything so far and have been and will continue to recommend HeyAbby as much as I can.

My experience has been positive
My experience so far has been positive, customer service was quick to respond and very helpful. The delivery of the OG Edition came quickly and was packaged extremely well. I've had the unit for about a week now and have had no issues with it. The reason I chose this grow system is I'm an experienced grower but got burnt out from the daily chores of growing multiple plants In a tent setup leaving me with more pot than I needed in between grows. So I was excited to see this new way of growing where you only focus on one plant at a time and the ability to have an app give you step-by-step directions from seed to harvest. I also ordered several accessories witch I will be reviewing separately on the Hey Abby website.

Thank you for sharing your experience with Hey abby's OG Edition. It's great to hear our customer service was quick and helpful, and that the unit's delivery and setup went smoothly. We appreciate your choice to try Hey abby grow system, especially given your background as an experienced grower looking for a simpler approach. It's awesome that you're finding the one-plant-at-a-time approach and app guidance a refreshing change. Can't wait to read your reviews on the accessories too! Happy growing, and thank you for being a proud owner of Hey abby grow box!
