Good communiction about my order, shipping was fast. Very impressed with the qauilty of the products (I have both the Hero 2020 and AIIRO). Both products feel solid and function as described. Very happy with my purchase of both items.

Pepperball restrictive states abandonment
I have the Hero 2020 with the Blunt Force cartridges. This was when Hero Defense Systems remembered states that have restrictions on possessing pepper / pava balls. Hero Defense Systems has forgotten these states and abandoned providing the Blunt Force cartridges. With this problem I, and a lot of people have abandoned carrying the Hero 2020, since the Blunt Force cartridges aren't available. I now carry a Byrna or Grimberg Pepperball launcher.
Response from HERO Defense Systems LLCNov 18, 2025
Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We've paused our BluntForce cartridge while we work on improvements to the product. Rest assured we have not forgotten our HERO 2020 customers in states where projectiles are prohibited. We are also working on some new and exciting HERO 2020 cartridge options for these states. Stay tuned, we'll be reaching out to all our customer with updates on these products as they become available.

You folks never answer phone calls or return calls. Furthermore, I purchased a Boltaron Holster (order #16081) on 10/20/25 $49.95. A week later this same holster is 15% less $42.46 I requested $7.49 difference be put back onto Visa card ending with 7452. Received zero response from support.

Hi there, sorry to hear you've had trouble getting a hold of us! Please be sure to check your spam messages for an email reply from us. We'll also try reaching out again in case the last message didn't come through. Regarding the price, you ordered 15 days prior to the sale's start (Nov 4). Unfortunately this is outside the range we're able to honor sales prices. We appreciate your feedback, and will also reply with this information via email.
