I heard about Bonsai on a freelance podcast and decided to give it a try- even though I didn't think I really needed it. I was pretty much submitting project proposals and invoices on word documents and that seemed just fine. Well, one hour into Bonsai and I knew I would be migrating all my stuff over! Not only did my project proposals look more professional, but it prompted me to create verbiage for things I hadn't even thought of (Ex: Why hire me!) My invoices are much easier to keep track of now, and I love that I can set an automatic reminder if it hasn't been paid a certain number of days before the due date. (The auto reminder also means I don't have to send a pesky email; it kinda takes the awkwardness out of pointing out they haven't paid you!) I've also utilized Bonsai's contracts which are much simpler and to the point than what I was using. Through Bonsai, both parties can sign it so no need for another platform like DocuSign. As my business grows, I know Bonsai can help me scale up in ways I don't even know now. There aren't many programs I am 100% dedicated to but Bonsai is definitely on the short list!

The customer representative was responsive and helped explain the need for addition authentication and also explained the new feature was just released and still being worked out.

Hellobonsai is the only invoice system I've used since starting my business in 2020. It was a one-off referral, and I'm so glad I listened!! It's user-friendly, continuously updating their features so that it stays relevant with the times (which I have yet to see with other leading software programs), and the support team is very responsive. Come tax time, it takes me less than 1 hour to gather all of my documents for my accountant because of how easy it is to export data from bonsai. Not to mention, being able to upload images of receipts into my expense reports because who remembers to keep a receipt from even 2 weeks ago? This software is definitely worth the investment!

I love the simplicity of the app overall compared to others out there. I also love that Bonsai has been adding things such as forms, scheduling, and more!

Bonsai is a comprehensive tool for freelancers. They make it so easy to automate contracts, proposals, projects, tasks, and more. I was introduced to Bonsai when web flow was offering a discount since they were ending a feature for freelancers. I’m glad I happened to make the switch. P.S. I was offered a $15 discount for writing this review, but I did not hesitate, because the product is genuinely good!
