I have been a Helio user for like 4+ months already and the few issues i had were fixed under 5 minutes by speaking with the staff volunteers! The unlimited bandwidth, and unlimited* email addresses are super cool to have, especially when domain providers sell you the ability to have an inbox PER ADDRESS these days.

A disappointing experience with the service. At first, it may seem to work adequately as a test server. However, as you get deeper into its use, significant problems arise. Customer support is poor. Initially, they offer basic help to new users, but quickly become uncooperative. The attitude of some moderators is questionable, even going so far as to mock users and apply bans without apparent justification. This contrasts sharply with their supposed ethical principles. Additional problems include: - Lack of privacy: Service requests, domains, connections, and confidential data are public. Everything is in a public forum. They claim that the service is free and make all kinds of excuses to keep it that way, no matter how many other ways they were told to solve this problem. - They don't listen to users. - Technical limitations, such as restricted SSL connections for PostgreSQL and others. - Numerous restrictions on the service and your ssh domain and others. - Reported cases of data loss, in April 2024 everything was lost, accounts, databases... another theft. - Your databases are attacked: i.imgur.com /lpZKDIf.png - Phishing incidents on the sites you host. At first it seems okay, but in the long run you get infected with phishing. - Slow response times, from 700ms at best to 2.7 seconds. - Arrogant attitude from the Discord creator and some moderators. - Communication with users is often disrespectful. There is documented evidence of insults and mockery by staff: i.imgur.com /TaJjU8O.png i.imgur.com /olYDG5V.png i.imgur.com /HniHlLE.png - There have been cases of unfair accusations of phishing against users, threatening them with banning. i.imgur.com /5wA0cYj.png - There are many more things and I would never finish and surely the response will be to hide behind everything they can. Anyway, I stop wasting my time with these people. In short, although it may be useful for students, it is not recommended for a professional or production environment. If you decide to try it, do so with caution. This warning could save you time and future frustration. Trustpilot should take action against a bully service. Note: The comment on this post is "false". You comment on "3 users". False. You say that those who use your service insult and harass you. False. I myself have been banned for asking. No friend, you do not do things right. There you have the comments insulting people above. You are known as harassers. Also, if you comment on the deficiencies and improvements that could be made in the free service you start to reproach, making insults, harassment, mockery, memes... Lamentable. I told you in the chat, I do not have people with that mentality, if so, they would not be with me. By laughing at people you will only achieve one thing, you know which one. If the "free" service you offer does not end up working as it should and users tell you about it, you tell the users to get lost. I have seen it all. I've seen people banned just for asking, they've never insulted or disrespected anyone, but you've done the opposite. The comments from "19" years of experience show me that you've been doing things wrong for 19 years. Think about it. I told you and I'll tell you again. It doesn't seem like you've been in the industry for 3 months, but it does seem like you have a 19-year mentality. This is a fact.

the worst don't waste your time with them recently their johnny server was down for more than 4 weeks and when you just ask their reply is the worst we have no eta , and it's a free service don't ask for support although i donated them, they collect donates and they will start to sell services soon.

Fast servers, great team and supports features that other free hosting providers don't have (i.e Python). Staff is also very helpful.

As the title states, HelioHost has some of the best free hosting I could find on the internet...and I spent a lot of time doing that. Some complain about HelioHost's lackluster support, but I disagree: this is a volunteer organization providing a service available to practically everybody with access to a company and is doing so without requiring ANY money to be spent at all on their services. In my experience, HelioHost support has been quite prompt and helpful--even when I forget to including some rather important info in a support request (oops...); for instance, you can have virtually any Python module you want installed and it'll be available for you to use within around the next 24 hours. I even managed to lose my 2FA key and they were quite prompt in helping me reset the 2FA I had set for cPanel. Their uptime is quite superb given the number of free users being onboarded every day and the lack of any hard restrictions on how much RAM and CPU you can use (the only restriction being that you can't use so many resources that you begin to affect other users) and limited resources they work with. Yes, you would probably get better service, better customizability, and better support if you used something paid--but HelioHost is free, and you get a lot for the whole $0 you need to pay them. HelioHost is truely an amazing free web host.
