About HelioHost

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization powered by a community of hobbyists that offer full-featured web hosting services for free. Our mission is to provide high quality web hosting for free to as many people as possible. We believe that everyone should have access to their own website whether they're a student to a small business owner, and everything in between. We're operated by a team of highly experienced volunteers who are passionate about what we do.Many schools around the world don't have the resources to provide their students with an online environment where they can learn to create a website. HelioHost aims to solve this issue by providing free hosting accounts for the teachers and students. Many small businesses can't afford to pay for hosting in order to sell their products online. HelioHost aims to solve this by providing free hosting and low cost hosting to small businesses to allow them to have an online presence. We offer as many free hosting accounts as we can, and we also offer donation based hosting accounts to help offset the cost of providing hosting for free. In addition, we provide affordable VPS hosting plans and scaling pricing based on usage for people who wish to upgrade from the free plans. We encourage community members to help each other, and recruit new volunteers from the community who are the most helpful. We own all of our own hardware so we don't have to resell hosting services from other companies which helps us keep costs low.

Really Bad Hosting
Really Bad Hosting Every time they are saying based on your selections it is not available. PLEASE NO ONE USE THESE SCAMMERS. All of the people here are alts of the owner
Response from HelioHostApr 26, 2021
Hahaha. Thanks for the laugh. We have about 18,000 accounts so that would an impressive number of “alts” for one person to create. Also HelioHost is a non-profit so it doesn’t have an owner. Using the term owner implies someone is profiting from this project. All of the donations we receive go directly back into buying new servers and upgrading our service. Free signups were open for over two hours yesterday from 00:00 UTC until about 02:00 UTC, and donor signups are never closed, so you must be exceptionally slow to have missed that. Sorry for not being able to allow an unlimited number of free signups, but our service is far more popular than our servers can support and we don’t have infinite amounts of money to buy new servers. So we have to limit the number of new free accounts each day. Our hosting would be pretty useless if we offered unlimited signups but only had an uptime of like 10% from being so overloaded.

Amazing hosting, amazing support!
Hostings such as InfinityFree are a complete joke compared to HelioHost. These guys are amazing and I am very thankful for all the support and work they have put into HelioHost, they have multiple servers which fit best in every category, have full cPanel and Email support. Big kuddos. Donate these guys, they deserved it.

Thanks! It's really helpful for reviews to mention the names of other hosting services they have tried, and how much better we do in comparison. We all appreciate you taking the time to leave a review.

pire hébergement de tout les temps

Translation for those that don't speak French: worst hosting ever they say it's free but as soon as I install WordPress and the theme I do nothing they tell me suspended account frankly as much remove your horrible hosting directly worst host go and do other things instead of making us lose our time . You picked a production server which means we try to keep high uptime on the server. 99.9% is the goal. Your account caused a load spike which caused 5+ minutes of downtime on your server. If we were to let all the thousands of people on that server cause load spikes and downtime for everyone else our uptime would quickly be 20%. If you don't want to get suspended for high load I can move you to Johnny which is an experimental server where the uptime doesn't matter as much.

One of the best free hosting providers out there.
Well their servers have some hiccups every now and then due to high load/demand but in general, you get premium hosting services (like cPanel and java (!) ) for free. Highly recommended free hosting provider. PS: Hopefully someone from HelioHost will come and claim their account here as I've notified the support email for this review :)

Thanks for the honest review! Yes, we got your message and claimed the Trustpilot account. Now if it were only possible to get Trustpilot to remove fake reviews. Even when provided with proof they leave the reviews up. Oh well.
