The same bad experience as everyone else here. I paid for an annual discounted membership last year and this year they automatically took out £71.88 for another year without any prior notification. I’ve emailed headspace 5 x in a week and received no response. Finally I rung my credit card company and they have blocked the payment.

Worst app experience
I signed up for the free trial but cancelled as spotify had better sleep music, which was what I was looking for.
Seven days later I was charged. I emailed help again. No response. It's now been 2 weeks and they have yet to respond or reverse the charge. There is no way to cancel the membership as it doesn't show up on play store. It tells you to email the email they don't respond to. As far as I know I M still signed up and will be charged again. Going to have to get my credit card company to investigate.

Liars, awful communication. Avoid.
Free 2 week trial - thankfully I signed up with a temporary card because I wanted to try their service out.
Explained they would give you advanced notice before the trial ends and they start charging you. They lied and/or failed to do so.
Tried to charge my card and did not reply to any emails.
Avoid this company like a public toilet at a summer music festival.

I am desperately trying to cancel my renewal but the button on the website does not work on several browsers. I have also tried on the app. I logged 2 support tickets on the website last week but no reply.

My experience is identical to many of the reviews I have read. Customer service extremely poor. Auto renew happens without any notification and yes price increases nearly double. Another Very dissatisfied customer.

One of the worst customer service
While the app has been a useful tool, the customer service has been more than appalling... My subscription was renewed without any warning. Not only that but I paid almost double the price I paid last year. I have written to Headspace 4 times in the space of 1 week and NO ONE has got back to me. Such a disappointment...

Beware the Subscription Rip-Off
My experience echoes that of most other recent reviewers. Behind this company's cuddly-smiley-ethical wellness brand is just another revenue-driven, VC-backed app startup that doesn't hesitate to rip off its customers when given a chance. Under the guidelines from the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), any business that operates a subscription model with an automatic rollover should give its subscribers a clear reminder about an upcoming renewal - and it should also give them the right to cancel the contract even after the renewal. Since Headspace does neither, it is very likely breaking the UK law with its business practices.
In my own case, I signed up to Headspace in the first place mostly out of curiosity, because they had a partnership with my healt insurer, Vitality. I did not find the app particularly useful but was willing to give it another year, since the Vitality partnership involves a discount. I did not get any discount on the renewal and, furthermore, was charged £71.88 instead of the £49.99 that Headspace uses currently as its regular annual price. I first requested only a partial discount, to bring the cost down to that normal level, but after not receiving any response from Headspace after a week - and after reading about other similar experiences - I don't wish to spend any money with this company, or use its app any further. I can't right now think of another commercial entity whose business practices would be in such a blatant conflict with the brand and the image it projects. It is off-putting.
Anyone in a similar situation may want to submit a complaint to the Competition and Markets Authority, so that it can investigate and take action. And if you have become a Headspace user through its partnership with Vitality, definitely do complain to Vitality as well, so that its partnership managers are aware of what type of business they are endorsing in Headspace.

Charge you all they can, no customer service
Same as everyone is saying. Just a con to charge you for an annual membership, without any notice or invoicing. Never heard back from customer service. Use any other meditation app but this one.
