My son got a lot out of his therapy. As a parent, it provided me peace of mind that he had another trusted adult he could talk to.

The experience was great, it was easy to schedule, and the kids enjoy having someone to talk to about things that are important to them.

I have had 2 children utilize Hazel Health. The service itself is convenient, but at the same time inconvenient due to the length of time it takes to get on the schedule of a counselor due to low staff. I have student athlete's and it was hard to find a counselor during their available times. It was also difficult to find a counselor that is a minority whom would be able to relate directly to my children. I did like the online method to chat back and forth with your counselor and my kid's being able to use their phone for the session. I would recommend the service to other IUSD parents if they were to ask me.

I love the interaction with my daughter and myself.

We waited for our intake appointment for our daughter and took off work for the scheduled appointment. We got a message this morning, the day of her appointment, at 2:30pm, canceling her appointment. The provider offered alternative times, which I took (responded maybe an hour later), then got another email about 9 hours later saying the time was no longer available. The same provider then provided a list of other times all during school hours or late at night (9:30pm). When we requested to be connected with another provider with times that didn’t impact school or taking more time off work, she told us there were none available. Good luck scheduling for your child if you don’t want them to miss school and you to have to take more time off work for canceled appointments.

Jennifer with Hazel Health was great with our son it made a difference to have him be able to speak to someone openly, since talking to your parents or even family isn't always what they need. His behavior has really changed, and he is doing better with relationships at school. He has really learned to walk away and not hold onto toxic friends.
