I stayed at this Hampton Inn in Carrollton Ga. for business 2 nights in March 2024. I was awakened at 2am in the morning feeling like I was on fire. I had red welts all over my left arm. Not sure what was happening, I searched the bed and found and killed a bed bug in my bed. Took pics… Called front desk clerk who assisted me in moving to another room. I reluctantly stayed the night as it was now 3am.
I promptly checked out the next day, however, I did speak with the General Manager(S.Ferguson)regarding my concerns. My arm was aching and throbbing and this GM advised me to seek medical advice and submit the bills to the hotel. Needless to say, this was done ant urgent care and I ended up with 3 prescriptions. Bills were submitted as requested. As of today, May 14,2024, I have been unable to get any satisfaction from this ordeal. The GM is never in and never follows up to emails sent or phone messages left. Have reached out to Diamond Desk but to know avail. This is so unacceptable to treat customers this way. Can not believe Hilton Hotels allows this kind of customer service and does not hold their employees accountable for providing a clean and safe environment or addressing customer concerns. I am still awaiting a response!!!

My letter to the hotel below
My letter to the hotel below: Dear Hampton Inn, thank you for a great stay at the Hampton. I was very happy with the customer service and the quality of the room. If I could suggest one thing it would be that the breakfast lacked appeal. For the price of the room if a hotel offers a breakfast we are lead to believe that that breakfast would be satisfactory. The breakfast for me was very unappealing. I found myself just having the scrambled egg. Bacon would have been nice, fresh juice would have been nice. And plastic cutlery and paper plates were again not making for a pleasant morning experience. I paid over 1,800 for four days stay at the Hamilton. I am very well travelled all over the world and just found the breakfast a let down. I think providing feedback is important in helping a hotel get it right for customers.

Hampton Inn Shady Grove Memphis (Nightmare)
If you are in search of a good hotel experience, I would not recommend staying at the Hampton Inn on Shady Grove in Memphis. I am currently working with the hotel's management team to resolve a serious incident that has invaded my privacy and security. I hope that a feasible solution will be reached, and my opinion of the hotel will change.
Although I'm a Hilton Honors member and have had wonderful experiences with the Hilton brand, my stay at this particular hotel was a complete nightmare.
Without my permission, several staff members and supervisors entered my hotel room and took valuables and items, which were verified and documented by the hotel and their insurance company. When I raised the issue with the hotel, I was told that it's their policy to enter guest rooms without their consent, which is unacceptable. During check-in, I was informed that any access to my room would require my prior permission. That is why I felt safe in bringing some valuable items to the hotel room.
As a senior citizen and a 30-year veteran school teacher, I was shocked and appalled by the administrative conduct and rules of violating the privacy of the hotel guests. Although the general manager of the hotel was cooperative and understanding, she was evasive when it came to addressing her staff's behavior and treatment of guests. The hotel offered me a $50 gift card for the inconvenience, but it hardly compensated for the trouble, pain, and suffering I had to endure from the taunting of the hotel employees.
It's disturbing that all of this appalling conduct and action came from the upper management of the hotel. Not only do subordinate staff members sleep on the job behind a pulled curtain in the makeshift check-in area, but profanity can also be heard by staff members in the back corners of the hotel, especially in the washer/dryer area. Staff members also frequent the parking lot, loudly cussing while chatting with friends or family members on FaceTime. When staff members come into your room without your permission and take items without your knowledge, it takes matters too far. Also, they do not take accountability for their actions and taunt the guest for complaining and being concerned for their safety.
If you're thinking about booking a stay at this hotel location, I urge you to consider spending a little extra money to stay at the Embassy Suite, which is directly next door and shares the same parking lot. Your peace of mind and security are priceless, and the extra dollars you spend will be worth it. While the Hampton Inn is undergoing renovations, looks can be deceiving. So, potential guests, beware! I'm sharing my experience so that others can be informed and avoid the risks of staying at this location. A hotel that refuses to take accountability for their actions and makes the guest feel violated and not safe. Potential hotel guest BEWARE. "Peace of mind and safety is everything." Best wishes.

AVOID HAMPTON INN - SAN MARCOS, TX
booked a room for the same day in error and cancelled within 1 minute and booked for the correct day. I am unable to get my money back for the error and was treated EXTREMELY poorly by hotel manager who basically mocked me. Hilton Corporate took my complaint about the situation and recommended that I call the hotel manager (who I was complaining about) for resolution, Will not be staying in Hilton brands ever again.

Hampton Hilton hotel York
Two day stay at the Hampton Hilton Hotel in York UK. Only 3 star status but an excellent establishment. Very clean and tidy rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food for this class was very good. Only 2 areas for feedback. Double room only had 1 chair and no usb charging points. Would definitely stay again and recommend. Recommended eating establishment is Ate O'clock in the Shambles area. Great food and service. Wine, like most places is extortionate though.

A very clean and tidy room and hotel. I was woken by the air-conditioning which I couldn't work properly (not hotel's fault). Breakfast, more than adequate!
If I had to criticise one thing, the guy on reception needs a bigger shirt. Not nice seeing your belly and was worried your buttons would ping and hit someone.

My account was noted for every issue I had but management never contacted me. Besides the power outage for many hours and no staff to assist in any way, I have found that every Google review was my same complaint as well and seems to be going on for a long time! Some of the issues I had were Different types of bugs in my room, Shower had zero shampoo and the body soap was lotion and hard to scrub off after finding out the hard way it was lotion! The shower drain was clogged and the tub filled up with filth while I showered. The toilet was dismounted from the floor! I have no clue how there was no flooding with the toilet only being secured by its water pipe, it wobbles freely and the lids don't stay up. The desk area where I work had flickering lights that were annoying and no other room light was close enough to be used instead. Some vent panels that were banging in the wind and rain which was annoying and also let in rainwater so the carpet by the window was soaked. The lobby and 3rd floor smelled really bad like sewer just like the Google reviews mentioned. The overall attitude by the staff was very poor and no one wanted responsibility and always said I should speak to the next shift person or GM which was still a dead end. My account should be noted but no one is emailing or calling me and I am watching closely for contact to be made. The ice maker by elevator was moldy and I took video as proof and even the bright CLEANIN light is lit. I spent 6 days there and never got cleaned. The TV Remote had a few broken buttons, the batteries were ok and I confirmed it was some buttons. made TV unusable. They also charge for parking as a standard even if you dont have a car! I had a work colleague pick me up daily so I had no car to be charged for. The speech used by staff speaking to each other was very vulgar and nasty and no customer should hear it. I have documented this review as well as my other reviews and videos and hope Hampton Inn can make good on this. I won't release the video to a well-known social influencer for a bit to see if this is corrected.

I stayed at this hotel during a baseball tournament, and I feel compelled to share my experience with fellow travelers, especially those in town for tournaments.
I used the hotel's app to book, pay, and check in for my stay on 7/12/2023. I entered my credit card details during the booking process, and upon checking in on 7/13, I was informed that the entire stay amount would be charged at that time. However, there was an issue with the digital key activation via the app.
On the morning of 7/14/2023, I found a copy of my bill under the door along with a note from the manager requesting a visit to the front desk. When I went to the front desk later that day, I was told there were no notes on the file, and everything seemed fine according to the reservation details.
The following day, our third night at the hotel, my minor son attempted to access our room, but his key didn't work. The front desk informed him that a new credit card was needed for the stay. I explained that I had used the app for booking and payment, and showed the clerk both email and app confirmations with the last four digits of my card. The clerk even took pictures of these confirmations and shared them with the manager, Rakesh Patel. I clarified that my husband's card was used for booking, as he wasn't traveling with us, and the clerk initially assured me that all charges would go to the card used for booking.
For over 2 HOURS, I, along with my son, was made to wait in the lobby while the manager texted and called the front desk clerk, instructing her not to allow us into our room. My son couldn't use the bathroom, shower, or access our room to change, all in front of a lobby full of guests. This experience was belittling and extremely frustrating.
The front desk clerk later requested a credit card authorization form from Rakesh. I promptly completed, signed, and returned it via email, but Rakesh stopped responding to the clerk's texts. After multiple calls and texts, he finally responded 20 minutes later, claiming the form wasn't signed. I showed the clerk a picture of the form with my husband's signature. Yet again, Rakesh ignored calls and text messages, making us wait another 30 minutes in the lobby. The front desk clerk eventually called another manager who was appalled by our treatment and instructed her to activate the key cards and allow my son into the room.
Throughout this ordeal, I repeatedly asked to speak with Rakesh directly, but he refused to engage with me. We felt treated like criminals, which was both unjust and humiliating. I've traveled professionally for almost 20 years and have used another major hotel brand's app without facing such issues.
To make matters worse, Rakesh took it upon himself to alter my booking and payment information without authorization, choosing a different card for charges. This conduct is highly unethical, deceitful, and borderline theft.
While I understand this location is operated independently, it bears the Hilton name, and my son and I will never willingly stay at another Hilton property after this experience. Treating a child in such a disparaging manner is unacceptable.
I reported this incident to Hilton Customer Support, but received no resolution. I was advised to contact the hotel's General Manager, Nima Patel, who, unfortunately, is related to Rakesh. Regrettably, Nima Patel never acknowledged my email, leaving my concerns unaddressed for two months.
For business travelers or those expecting quality service, I strongly recommend avoiding this establishment.
