Worst experience in a Hampton Inn. Completely Unacceptable.
Came in from driving for hours and extremely tired. We booked a room and were eager to get a good night's sleep, since we had a few thousand miles to go in the morning. 1st incident: when we checked in and arrived in our room we just wanted to sleep. What we weren't told was that apparently, their hotel is being remodeled. By now, it's well after 5:00 pm and creeping into to 6:00 pm. While showering, what sounded like a demolition team I the room next to ours. A lot of drilling. I called the front desk, and was told that they're remodeling and that they usually work until 7 pm. That would've been great news before checking in. Since there would be no way we'd stay in a place that was actively remodeling and making so much noise. Next, I was woken up by a very large group gathered at what I believe was the local hangout where boys and their big-boy trucks and cars were cruising around the parking lot. From what could gather, there were about 30-50 people standing around drinking while these a-holes revved and raced their moronic cars while challenging each other for some impromptu drag racing on the highway just outside the hotel. This is still going on and it's currently just passed 1:30 am. You can't hear anything else. Just the drag racing back and forth directly outside of my window. We always go out of our way to stay at Hampton Inn and have never been to one that is this terrible. Hoping everyone gets up and goes home soon. I'm already going to be overtired for tomorrow's next leg of our drive. Lynda F
