Ordered this collar to teach my dog to stay in her yard, and when we tried to set it up , it kept zapping her in the house. Could never get the gps to work outside. Now my dog is afraid to go outside or in certain parts of the house. The customer service team was good at trying to figure out what was wrong with the collar. Even sent me a new one and same issue. I would never buy a collar like that again.

My dog still doesn’t seem to even recognize the virtual fence that I built around our property. I have the static at the three level and maybe I need to increase it. I would also like a comment on where the two metal points should be on her neck.

I called to find out where the 2 collars I purchased were and the answer was that the warehouse was never given my order! I have been sending emails asking about my collar and I kept getting standard emails. No one ever got up and went to see what was going on with my order from 19 days ago! If I order today from Amazon I can get it by Saturday. This makes no sense. Horrible from a company that is charging 600/collar!

The GPS doesn’t work well in areas with trees. The dog often receives corrections when not outside the containment area. #1 Complaint: The battery charging adapter is un-necessarily small and unique such that it is easily lost. Reason: This was intentional! There is no reason to make the charger not have the required end built in or to have the collar use a standard port. They WANT you to lose the adapter and pay $40 for the replacement! Absolutely underhanded. [Update 2024-11-27] I did contact Customer Support and they are sending me a replacement. I already ordered the replacement. No one reached out before charging me. I bumped up the review by one star. The collar has been replaced due to a failed component. Maybe this will work out yet… Maybe they’re sending me the replacement for free because my collar is the v3 and they’re now selling the v4 with a different adapter (still small, unique and not attached to the cord).

There is no customer service number on the website or a place to chat or email. Very frustrating to not get a question answered before buying.

Had to relpace this collar 3x in less than 6 months. The first collar the battery port corroded and stopped charging. The second collar the halo light would not turn off. The third collar it just stopped working. No lights, won't turn on nothing. Have called these people at least 15 times-I am assured over and over again that management will call me. They don't!! They forgot to ship my latest replacement collar, its been over a week and still nothing. I get the run around, generic emails, literally they are running me in circles and they just don't care. it's that simple. So good luck to anyone that has to work with this miserable company!!

We spent $1200 on 2 of these collars, and they don't come with a wall plug to charge them. I called Halo, they said "You can buy those an any retail store". Excuse me? I have to spend more money? You've got to be kidding me. I can't even use them now! Also, we chose these over Spot On because they come with a beacon. Not any more apparently. Neither of the Halo 4 collars we bought came with one. The app works well, and they were easy to set up. BUT, one of the collars went rogue and ran across the yard (even though my dog is standing right next to me) and it zapped him over and over again. We had to take it off to stop it from hurting him. Now the collar doesn't seem to know where the fence is, and zaps him when he's in the middle of the yard. Not sure how I'm going to be able to train him. The other collar is working fine.

To say I’ve really struggled with these collars is an understatement. Went through all the training and set up the fence. My dogs were used to their previous invisible fence so it was a smooth transition for them. But the satellite is so unreliable and giving my one dog emergency boundary feedback when she was laying inside. This was happening MULTIPLE times a week. My dogs were so terrified after about six months we stopped using the system all together to give them a mental break. Until recently, trying to connect with a human on the dog park was impossible. I waited 4 1/2 hours on one occasion and then gave up. I did get through one other time and the woman sent me beacons that I now have to have on my property as well because a metal structure could be giving the incorrect location on the dogs!? I live in a suburban area with almost an acre of property. The houses here are not sitting right next to each other. Anyways after spending all the money on the collars and the system we decided to try them again. I went onto the dog park and was connected with Jacqueline (who was very kind and helpful), helped me set the GPS setting on the collars. This has helped…so far. Our dogs are still terrified of the collars and we only put them on when they are outside. If I could go back I would have just upgraded my in-ground system. I would not recommend this system. The support staff is helpful when you can contact them. I regret the investment.
