The collar never worked. The beacon wouldnt communicate with the collar so I couldnt train my dog on it. Halo customer support kept telling me it was user error and to watch more training videos. They refused to give me my money back. Thing has been sitting in the box for 2 years. Run far away from this company

Terrible design. Not accurate and would shock my dog in the house saying she was in the neighbors yard. I returned it 6 weeks ago and still haven’t gotten my reimbursement. You can’t talk to anything on the phone after you cancel the subscription, they cut you off from support. Con-artists

We bought this collar for our bichon, total waste of money. We have two homes some thought this would be perfect since we are not allowed to fence our yard. It is totally unreliable, when it does make a sound it is nothing that my dog responds to, and I can barely hear it. She is trained with a regular electronic beeping collar and responds very well to it. And yes we have contacted support to make sure that the volume is turned up as loud as it will go. But even if she could hear it, it is not consistent at all with the perimeter warnings.

Don't buy! Our poor pup was well trained to the collar. Worked well within a few days of training. Today, however, she was resting inside our home and started crying and running around in terror. The collar was zapping her. I looked on the app and the system identified her as being 150 feet from our home. She was so frightened, we couldn't get her out of her "safe space" for four hours. I joined the Dog Park and learned this type of occurrence is not unusual and that I should stand outside every morning and wave the collar around AND adjust the device pre-set GPS settings because those in our area are "unusually high." When I use the system at our cabin, I'll have to do that again. If the GPS signal drops below the new settings, my dog will be zapped again. I was advised that the zapping in our home will happen "randomly" and my dog's terror would be my signal to adjust GPS levels on the device again. This is extremely cruel -- or as the Halo rep told me euphemistically "not awesome." Besides this problem, be aware that the app is difficult to navigate, the system is expensive, and you'll need to pay a good $10 a month for a service that brings its features to life. Also, the claim that you can set 20 different "fences" is a bit deceptive. We learned that you can set 20 different fences that do not overlap and are at least 300 feet apart. Our home rests on 20 acres, and 1 fence is about the limit. device.

This company keeps charging my card for a service that is impossible to cancel as it’s not showing me subscribed to anything via their site or anywhere. For over a year now I go through a monthly process to dispute the charge and luckily I get refunded by my credit card company each time but still every single month they keep charging me. I returned the product when I first received as it was too large for my small pet so I can’t speak to the product itself but this recurring subscription charge is ridiculous and nowhere can I find anything suggesting I am enrolled so I will continue to fight this and bring legal action if necessary.

I got this because we live on a large farm and wanted to keep my pup safe. The gps is not accurate to “fence posts” but with a large area to roam it works. However after 6 months the collar quit working. The collar can be replaced under warranty. Called in to customer service and they ran test confirming the collar was not working. Halo sent a replacement and original collar returned. I then received an email stating the collar could not be repaired so they were charging me for the replacement. Seriously????

Our collar (mostly) worked. Despite its price tag it stopped working abruptly right at 6 months. We requested an in warranty replacement and we’re told as long as the inoperative collar was Teri try Ned there would be no charge. Today Halo support contacted me to inform me the collar was damaged (obviiously, it doesn’t work) so we will have to pay F or the replacement. Collar has only normal wear and tear. So either the collar cover does not work or Halo is disreputable, or both. Avoid.

Absolute garbage. The training beacon would work intermittently confusing my dog. If the training device doesn't work; I'll be damned if I'll trust the device to keep my dog safe when it matters. This is an overpriced scam as far as I'm concerned. Cesar should be ashamed of himself for allowing his name to be associated with this garbage.
