I have had the Halo collar for 7 months. Apparently, every time there is a firmware update ( and there are alot of them) you have to reset the collar. If you do not, it will shock your dog in the safe zone as the GPS needs to realign. The issue with this is the company does not instruct you to do so in the firmware emails they send. I only learned of this when I called customer service because I thought the product was defective. Additionally, the collars GPS is often unreliable. The dog can be in the house and the collar registers him outside, out of his safe zone. I will hear the collar giving feedback while it is on my counter ( I stopped having it on him in the house as it was delivering emergency feedback inside due the firmware updates) I will be canceling my subscription and would strongly reccomend NOT purchasing this collar.

Worst product ever! I've had the collar for less than a year and it stopped working. The collar hardly holds a charge and won't connect to the app. I've been on the phone with Halo and keep getting referred to other departments who don't solve the issue. I'm trying to exchange/return the collar right now but I'm being bounced around to another department. DON'T WASTE YOUR $750.00. Not worth the money.

I wish I could go lower than a single star rating. TDRL; 1. you need to purchase a monthly subscription 2. the equipment is (suspiciously) poorly made - see below 3. the customer service is atrocious We received our collar in March of 2024. In May our collar was not holding a charge beyond 1 hour and the collar would get incredibly hot after being plugged in. Upon closer inspection, I discover that the charging port had come apart from the collar, and the inside of the collar was exposed to outdoor elements. (2) the charge port is magnetic; however, it is poorly secured onto the collar, and it will pull out. (3) I begin the warranty claim for the collar as it has been three months. Heads up, all support emails from Halo Dog park went to my "junk" mailbox. I was not notified of the email correspondence where they wanted to "trouble shoot" my collar. I had several zoom meetings without knowing what was going on, if my collar had been shipped. I wait for a customer service representative for 30 minutes to an hour. If my call is not answered, then I am ignored. Final point, the company does not provide the customer with a tracking number for their shipments, and that demonstrates a lack of accountability to me. I don't know if the product is shipped, I'm wait on zoom hold, and I'm ignored on any other platform.

The actual rating should be a zero! I now have to return the second collar for a warranty replacement which I don’t want now….after multiple attempts to fix the multiple problems…the customer service representatives are obviously clueless , inexperienced and just barely able to read the instructions back that you can read online yourself anyways…the collar is crap, extremely frustrating to fix and the customer service is the worst…even worse than big corporations or government bureaucracies….don't get sucked into this frustration of ineptness and incompetence …

This company has hands down worst customer service department èver! I purchased 2 collars close to a month ago. The company in error sent me 4 collars. They were not able to activate any of the collars after it was escalated to their engineering team. I then sent the collars back to them and they sent me 2 refurbished collars with no charging cords and no cover. I called their customer service and they said they would escalate my request. After 5 days I had heard nothing. Then they contacted me via email to tell me they were sending two replacement collars. They never shipped them to me. I called their customer service back. ( They are outsourcing their customer service to home workers who are not allowed to call the company.) One rep told me he would lose his job if he contacted the company. They have an online customer service that is called the dog park. They have no appointments to speak to anyone in April. I have paid $1200 for collars that have never been sent. Do not use this company! Update: 4/22/24 finally received the collars!!! Unfortunately, the did not ship the magnetic charging adaptation, so I cannot charge one of the collars : fail.

I was eager to try this out. The price point is very steep but I wanted to give it a shot although I read tons of negative reviews. Their website states they price at this point because it's still "cheaper than a fence". But I don't think that's enough of a reason to charge $600-$700. Then, once I received the product, I expected something of nicer quality and was disappointed. On top of that, the collar was extremely big for my dog. I contacted customer service and all they did was point me to a DIY video on how to cut/adjust the strap to fit, because they don't have anything smaller. For $600, I am not about to cut and DIY his collar. So I decided to return it. But, they charge $25 just to return. Basically, this whole transaction of wanting to test Halo Collar has been a complete waste of time and money. I had to pay $20 to get it shipped to me, and $25 to return, so I'm at a loss of $45 for wasting my time and giving this product the benefit of the doubt.

Did not pay a year up front for the cellar service. We were not able to use the halo collar. We returned it 2 weeks after receiving it. However the company wouldn’t refund out annual fee of $63 dollars.

Customer service is horrible!! The collar works great when it works but when it comes to warranty and getting fixed HALO fails miserably!
