If you have the Halo 3, don't bother upgrading to the 4. The battery life was less than the 3. I noticed no difference with the satellite connectivity and the new charging method stinks. You have to remove the outer cover each time to charge collar. I have a livestock guardian dog that rotates 2 collars. He definitely wears and tears the collars and I have had no issues with the 3. I just brush out the charging port periodically. I returned the 4 big 😞.

Waste of my time and money. The Collar GPS is wildly inaccurate and inconsistent. It has sent warnings to the dog when he is sitting on his bed in the house. Collar states GPS strength is good, yet pauses feedback so it is useless outside as it sends no warnings to the dog when they are actually warranted. Multiple calls with customer support to trouble shoot the problem. I have requested a total refund but since trouble shooting with customer support has taken us past the replacement policy no luck..

No consistency in range. The boundary would change, and my dog became confused. I read reviews about this, but thought maybe the halo 3 would have some of the problems fixed, unfortunately, not the case. The collar also would not hold more than an 8 hour charge. Company claims a money back guarantee, but they charged me $116 on returned products that did not work.

Customer service is an absolute joke they have scheduled calls with me reschedule calls and it's still never called I'm extremely disappointed by this product it hasn't worked from stay one and I've spent way too much money on it nobody will call me and help me through the issues I get a stupid link for troubleshooting it does not work I stopped making payments for the Halo subscription then they started reaching out still nothing corrected

Could not get the halo collar to act properly, all the functionality thru the "app" - the whole process was a real labor - by the time we started to figure some of the stuff out, the collar would need charged again - just overall a complete hassle. All the over the top BS training with the Caesar guy was such a joke, we definitely threw our money away on this product, live and learn. The fact that they started "charging" us a monthly fee when we could not even get the system up and running, complete douchebags. Would only recommend this to a very worst enemy.

Owning a Halo Collar has been the bane of my existence for the past 10 months (purchased Oct 2023). When it is working correctly, it works great; however, more often than not my dog is getting shocked or given other feedback at an inappropriate time like sleeping on the couch. For example, my dog will be asleep in the living room and then the collar will randomly start glitching on her, providing emergency feedback, and showing she is outside in the front street or somewhere else out of bounds. I've noticed that the collar frequently goes off when I get home even though she is just greeting me at the front door and safely in her fence boundaries. I appreciate the customer service and having that video call option; however, my main issue has never been resolved (the satellite not being accurate with the collar). The battery life will last a full day if you use the preset GSP strength levels; however, a customer support agent walked me through how to change mine to hopefully help my dog not getting shocked indoors. Unfortunately, she still is getting inappropriate feedback and the battery life lasts half as long when I changed the settings. Dealing with this collar has been an extremely negative experience based off of the amount of time I’ve put into troubleshooting for the end result to never change. My dog has been getting incorrectly shocked for way too long while I trouble shot ALLLL of their suggestions. The collar also would not provide feedback when I did need the feedback because the GPS would have her incorrectly placed not near our home or state “connecting to collar”, resulting in the feedback being shut off completely. 2/3 of my collars just completely died on me, like won’t turn on at all, and yes I troubleshot all the battery reset strategies with the technicians. I bought the collar originally on Amazon and was unaware that would come with negative consequences as well. I troubleshot for months with the first collar before Halo recommended a replacement collar. Then I troubleshot with the replacement collar for months before they sent me another replacement collar; however, this one just stopped turning on all together. I finally decided I wanted to give up on this company after 10 months of trouble shooting, as I was within the 45 day return period of the second replacement collar. Now, I am told I can’t return the collar to Halo since I originally bought it through Amazon. Of course, I’m past the return period with Amazon since I’ve been trouble shooting this collar and the replacements for 10 months. I’m beyond frustrated because I tried to work with Halo and trouble shoot 3 different Halo collars in total, to feel like I’m now out $700 with still a non functioning Halo collar. If I would have known doing all of their trouble shooting suggestions was going to make me ineligible for a refund if it never worked, I wouldn’t have entertained this entire process. This has been a terrible experience and I would love nothing more but my money back. I highly do not recommend.

I’m constantly having issues with the collar not keeping up with my dog. I reached out to the “dog park” on 7/28 and got a little assistance from Tonya, but the issue started back up again a day later. I reached back out to the dog park and got Nicholas, who didn’t know what to do. I expressed that I would like to return the unit, only to find out that I was supposedly 60 days outside of my return window, and I just purchased it in March. He told me to send a screen recording of the situation, which I did, and he never responded. I noticed that my plan was changed without my consent. After my constant email complaining, I got an email stating that there was an issue with the cellular system on my collar and I would have to pay $299 for them to send a replacement. After explaining that I wasn’t going to pay, I got a label to send the defective collar back and I wait for more than a week for the replacement. After receiving the replacement, I am already having issues, and I’m still not satisfied with the product. The customer service is awful and the effort is extremely lackluster. I have went as far as sending an email to Ceasar Milan, which I’m sure I won’t get a response from, to express my disappointment and to advise that if I were him, I’d remove my endorsement. I’ve sent several emails to the “support team”, only for them to be ignored.

I have had several repeating issues with my collar that will shock my dog with the full emergency shock on a glitch when she is right beside me or safe in our yard. When I look at the app it will show her away past the neighbors- when she is in fact with me safe. I have reached out to halo on multiple occasions for help to fix this- I don’t know if I got a faulty collar or if this is a common issue. But for the hefty price tag it’s an expensive counter decoration, since I can’t trust the collar to have it on her and not shock her for no reason. Seeing her get full blown shock for standing at the front door is pretty heartbreaking and cruel. I really wish someone would help me with this issue or send me a new collar. This is so not right. Because of this, I could never recommend this collar. Imagine if you didn’t see that they were being wrongly shocked repeatedly. Absolutely horrific.
