After waiting over a month for my collars i was immediately disappointed when opening them up but wanted to use them a while before leaving review. If you’re looking for a way to simply track your dog NOTHING ELSE these collars would be ok. But as far as creating an invisible fence, they don’t. They only vibrate. The “static” they claim to use doesn’t faze even daschunds. As far as the company and customer support. It’s non existent. They have no way to contact them minus there “dog park portal” which is AI and will not be any help. After sending dozens of emails with no response i had to threaten to call the bank and do a charge back to even get my collars! (Ordered 3 total) if you’re looking for a collar, HIGHLY RECOMMEND LOOKING ELSEWHERE! Not only are they way over priced but they don’t perform as HALO advertise

This just arrived and I was so excited for it. Disappointed as soon as I opened the box. The charging cable is a USB c and it didn't come with a block so I have no way to charge it. There were no instructions that I needed to purchase additional parts to use this and I live very rural so I can't just run out and get whatever else is needed easily. There is no number to call for assistance and if you try and chat it just gives you a usesly AI bot that can't answer any questions. Hundreds of dollars I'm already regretting spending.

I am very disappointed with the whole experience from Halo Collars. I ordered my Halo 3 collar on Sept.9th and didn't receive it until Sept.17th. I though that this was fairly long for shipping being that we are in NJ. Initially I had high hopes with the collar. It seems fairly well made and the app was not hard to get use to. So I set up my account and even paid for a whole year of service. The geo-fence was pretty easy to set up and I was excited to train my dog so we started right away. Most of my property is wooded so I was a little worried right off the bat on the GPS performance. Needless to say my suspicions were accurate. When the fence was working (i.e. when I had GPS signal) the collar seem to be good. But from what I have gathered, the GPS is not that accurate, even when you have full signal. So i contacted Halo's customer service and let me tell you they were super unhelpful. I advised them that I was having GPS issues and they offered no resolution initially. After the third notice to them, they offered to update the firmware. I saw that they had a new Halo 4 collar, that had just been released claiming "the strongest GPS on the market". I asked if I could exchange the collar because my "offer" had expired 4 days prior. Now I am stuck with a Halo 3 collar, that works sporadically and a 1 year subscription. Additionally, I tried to order some back up chargers for the collar since the one you receive with the collar is a tiny adapter that connects to a USB-C cable and not its own cable, which is very easy to lose with little children. Well over a week has gone by and there is no information on the order. It seems like they have a very big internal issue with orders. I am not happy with my experience with Halo Collars and I do not recommend this product, or their company as a whole.

I'm not here to complain about the collar because I never got that far in the process. Halo uses a low cost shipping method "FedEx Surepost" that hands the item off to USPS for final delivery. This system often fails, as it did in my case. The post office rejected the item, reason unknown. It wasn't easy, but I was able to cancel my order. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and got my money back. I have a dedicated folder of emails documenting how hard it was to accomplish this simple task. Two weeks later, a Halo Collar showed up at my post office. Apparently my order cancellation was not shared with the shipping department. The item had been lost for 10 days at the Fedex facility in Portland. Halo claims they will send me a return label. Then they expect me to drive many miles to a FedEx facility to reship it. I live in a rural area, and Halo will not arrange a FedEx pickup at my house. My experience had a chilling effect on me. Buying a $600 product with a proprietary software system means investing in the company long term. Halo's inability to complete simple tasks, insisting on a suboptimal shipping method and the patent-infringement federal lawsuit they are facing all played in to my decision to go elsewhere. I regret not throwing the item in the trash when it did show up. I just made more work and headache for myself. I have purchased a PetSafe Guardian + Fence collar for $200 less. Fantastic customer service, made in the USA, not Taiwan, and the collar works well enough. Oh yeah - they are the plaintiff in the federal patent infringement lawsuit against Halo.

Terrible customer support. Website doesn't seem to work.

I order Halo Collar for my dog hopping it would work. I have computer experience so I have some skill you can say. From the start I had nothing but problems with the Collar. To make a long story short I received a bad one. I talk to Customer Service and was told they will send me another one in three to four days. That never happen. I called many times and was told that the Warranty department had to ok it. Two weeks later nothing was done. There is no reason for them to take that long. It is not the customer fault. It is their fault and the QA department for sending a bad product. Company today thinks they can do anything, and it is ok. Another problem it is made in Taiwan. It should be made in the US not another country. Or they should have enough in the US so when one goes bad, they can send it to us without delay. Another problem if I cannot talk to the Warranty department and I am waiting for you to give the OK. NO way!

This collar is trash. I've owned it for several months now and from what I can tell there is nothing GPS about it. It's only ever showed it's correct location on the map about 1% of the time. The rest of the time it shows it's attempting to connect to my wifi or Bluetooth and/or shows it's location hundreds of feet away from where it actually is. I've never even put it on my dog. There's no way I'd trust it. I walked around the created geo-fence holding it in my hand and it vibrated once when I was about 30 feet from it & never did anything again, even with me walking thru the fence and back about a dozen times. By the way, before it's used as a rebuttal, the collar has stayed plugged in around the clock, so that's not the problem

As I'm sitting here on opening day of deer season crying. My dogs halo collar didn't work last night. Did not even last a 12 hour charge. I have no idea if she is even alive, hear gunshots all around. If she comes back I'm going to try to return the collar. Customer service sucks, too tickets closed without a response. I have spent so much time and money on this collar. If you are thinking about this collar I strongly recommend you keep searching. If you love your dogs and want them safe there has to be another option.
