We purchased 3 Halo dog collars in November 2024. We began training our dogs around the first week of December. Since then all three collars have critically failed TWICE and required replacement. Today, while we were on vacation and our dogs were in the care of our dog sitter, all THREE collars failed at once and require replacement again. I would estimate that in the last three months, we’ve had the use of each collar for around four weeks. The annoyance factor is overwhelmingly overcome by the fact that when these collars fail, our dogs are unsafe. These collars are a huge investment in both dollars and training. How very, very disappointing and how very, very frustrating. I would not under any circumstances recommend these collars for the safety of anyone’s pets.

Do not waist your money on this over priced over advertised collar that works like crap even on 15 it just gives the dog a warning buzz and dog just keeps goin and it stops it downt keep your dog in at all my 5 mo old Doberman puppy wasn’t even fazed by it on level 15 it’s a joke I went to Walmart got a system for 149 2 collars and it did the job these colors are a pure rip off

I have never seen a company site with such poor support articles - you literally get nothing for instructions. And...right out of the box, I find out their 'several layers' of technology doesn't work and I can't even set it up. Turns out their satellite is not accurate to even set up the initial map and online help has no knowledge outside of what I can see on the app. So $600+ and nada so far, except being charged the monthly fee for service I'm not getting. Sent them a question a week ago...no response. Did get through to their online chat, but now waiting for someone else to explain why their basic technology doesn't actually work as advertised. LOL The response is they're always 'sad'or 'disappointed' to hear a complaint. So. Am. I.

Collars keep failing, customer service completely nonresponsive. This company holds you hostage with membership fees as their virtual dog park is the only way to reach customer service.

Tried calling the company and writing emails to return collars. Never got any response and when I purchased the collars I explained they were Xmas gift and was told Ii had an extended period to return if not satisfied. Well no response after repeated tries. I am out 1548.00 for three collars which are a bunch of garbage. Bad promises and bad product and these were the newest collars.

Horrible customer service and support. They told me that I needed to do another firmware update (because the previous one had a lot of issues like mine) however they couldn't push it to me via the cloud and their current version on their website doesn't match the one in the app. Shortly after buying V3 collar they started pushing the V4 collar- wonder why??? Customer support sent wrong version update and escalation to Manager takes over 24-hrs for a callback. Level-2 support takes anywhere from 4-7 days for a response via email only. They are a total mess and no way providing the level of service for their extremely expensive collar.

I purchased a collar May of 2023 since then I have had to replace it six times because it keeps failing I have had countless conversations with Halo regarding this and every time they just say they'll send me a replacement, this last time which is right now I just asked for my money back it's been 22 months since I purchased it and it hasn't worked half the time. Meg got back to me by email today and said that they will not refund my money because it's out of the parameters of their policy which I completely understand but the coller hasn't worked from the very beginning it keeps failing .This is a terrible product I would not recommend it at all. We have 10 acres out in the country on a creek which these are all things that this collar claims to be fantastic at.

We paid a lot of money for this collar to keep our dog safe. In the time we have had it there have been 3 critical issues where the collar needed to be replaced. This was not due to anything the family of the dog did. I am dealing with the third problem now and customer service won't help on phone but just sent me an email to file a warranty claim. I guess that once my year warranty is up they won't replace it anymore. So, in summary it is probably good for a year minus a week of worry every time you are waiting for a replacement to be shipped
