I’m shocked at previous reviews. I’ve used Top brands and this is the best!! It’s creamy in texture I just used my fingers to massage it in and work though the lengths and my previous frizzy hair is silky smooth. Needed nothing else. No greasy residue. Will definitely keep using it.

I am really surprised to read these negative comments about Hairstory original shampoo. I works really well for me and, even though it is a crazy amount of money for a bottle of shampoo I have already bought another so that I don't run out. I have quite fine hair which can be flat. I don't like faffing around with lots of product but often did to get ' body'. Most crucially, I have NEVER been able to only shampoo my hair - I always have to use conditioner other wise I cannot get a comb through. I really do love Hairstory. I only need to shampoo and then rinse thoroughly. This is really important. My hair is definitely shinier, bouncier, just better. I will never use product to style it again, and will never need to use conditioner. So for me personally, that is worth paying this much for only shampoo and getting the best hair I think I have ever had. My hair is just above shoulder length, I really wish that I had started using Hairstory when it was longer, I imagine it would have been gorgeous and I would never have had it cut. Another advantage is that my hair lasts longer between washes than it ever did before, and in fact looks better ( for me that's more body) in the days after the day it was washed. I do think the key thing is to not use too much and to rinse, rinse, rinse! Clearly it works for me, and I will definitely keep buying it.

I tried the New Wash Deep shampoo. After an initial adjustment period my hair looked, felt and smelled great. At first the product left my hair sticky/greasy and flat. I thought it wasn't rinsing out properly, but I then found info online and used more product and sometimes double washed my hair, cleaning it much more thoroughly and that did the trick. My husband and even my children commented on how nice my hair looked. Unfortunately after just over a month I started getting a reaction to the product. My scalp was itching and flaky and broke out in spots. I gave it a couple of weeks but have now reluctantly gone back to my old shampoo. I sent Hairstory my order confirmation email and they replied within a few hours to offer a full refund, no need to return the product. The same day I received the refund into my account. Excellent customer service. One thing I would say though is the price per pack is expensive (in the UK at least). I found I was using a lot of product to make sure my hair was clean, more than my usual shampoo and conditioner put together. I was hoping that over time I would need to use less product and wash my hair less, but I never got to that point. To be honest I probably would have continued to buy it as long as I could afford to as it left my hair feeling so good (until the reaction 😩).

This product is an absolute joke. My hair looks like washing it with just water, even though I used a significant amount of the product, which by the way does not foam and is really difficult to cover all your hair without using A LOT of the product! My hair has still a lot of residuals of the user hair products and are greasy. Also, after washing, my hair is super tangled and dry and in no way can I skip using conditioner. Nevertheless, I feel like this product is a scam and cannot recommend to anyone!!!

Made my hair very greasy (even though I put in the greasy option during my hair quiz, and took their recommendation of the Deep wash) and it didn’t change after a couple months of trying it. Very unsatisfied.

I bought Hair Story’s New Wash which is backed up by a 30 day if-you-don’t-like-it-money-back-guarantee. I emailed them to say it wasn’t working for me and how do I arrange to return it. I’ve had no response. I’ve emailed, Tweeted, Instagrammed (lots of times) - no response at all. Lousy customer care. Lousy product too.

I have tried New Wash, and it was not for me. However, the shipping back to the US cost the same as I would get as refund. Hairstory refunded the price of the product without me shipping the half bottle back. This is just amazing customer service!
