Nice products, in general, but the pump on the shampoo doesn’t work anymore because I have used about half of the bottle?

Has the formula changed? I have been using Hairstory for several years now and have found that the formula has changed and is far more liquid than before, the pouch is smaller and less full. I don't think i am imagining this as each pouch doesn't last nearly as long as before.

What’s with all the plastic? I’ve been buying Hairstory for over three years now……( maybe longer) good product, no bad ingredients important for people who have health concerns like myself……..but VERY expensive. the hair wash has always come in a pouch,never been offered a bottle before….. I also buy the hair balm, they stopped the refill pouch of the hair balm and I could only buy it in a bottle, hard to get all the last bits out of bottles and nozzle tubes, (as I said very expensive so every little bit counts) anyhoo continued buying the pouch of hair wash and the bottle of balm, on my new order this week I get an empty plastic bottle along with the hair wash pouch, with a whole load of fangled instructions on how to operate it and yet another plastic scalp brush………it’s no cheaper to just buy a refill pouch so why bother with a bottle? Why so complicated……or are these new pouches that you claim are totally recyclable going to dissolve or break down if I use straight from the pouch as I have always done?

After few weeks I am still waiting for my product to arrive, however the customer service have followed up, got in touch with me, offered me refund and small discount if I would to buy product again, fingers cross it arrives soon, can’t wait to try hairstory new wash :)

I'm still testing the product. I bought the Pre-Wash and the New Wash. For now my hair is getting extremely greasy by the 3rd day and I'm guessing/hoping its still part of the transition period. I emailed Hairstory almost immediately with questions, specifically about the pre-wash ( as that was recommended for fine hair and transition period ) but still no answer. Can't login into my account either. Not receiving the reset email. I see they do respond here, so thumbs up

Horrifically expensive, though ok product. The 8 oz. at $44 is pretty much a sample size, you might get 6-8 washes out of it unless you have chin length or shorter hair. $98 for the 20 oz is insanely expensive which lasted me roughly as long as a regular bottle of shampoo. Also, know that you need to use a good amount of this product for long hair. “Golf ball” size as one IG hairdresser influencer recommends. It goes really fast. That said, I really like the “Balm” and “Powder” which both, while still pricey, last a long while. Forget the shampoo, it smells nice but it’s all hype. I get the same results from my higher end grocery store shampoo. I’m getting tired of every other hairdresser on IG shilling Hairstory. By the pricing alone, it’s obnoxiously elitist. I can use Curlsmith for the same results at 1/4th the price. Lastly, their customer service is the pits. Totally rude interaction when attempting to return a product.

If you are looking for a natural shampoo which does not lather up or irritate your scalp, the Hairstory New Wash is excellent for bleached course curly hair. Hugely expensive at $ 147.00 for 20 fl oz plus shipping $ 10.00 extra : ( which is too expensive. Packaging is hopeless in the shower and carefull to note 1 x purchase only !
