Own a business and had your socials hacked? This is the one to save the day
This is a sorry tale of how stupidly using public WiFi caused devastating effects. I used hotel WiFi on holiday. Hackers gained access to our Instagram account and added themselves as admin. They then removed myself and by nefarious actions caused my personal Facebook page to be removed. I've now no way of attempting to recover our pages. Eventually I started a new page to open dialogue with Meta. Despite multiple attempts, every single method was ignored. META HAS ABSOLUTELY NO INTEREST getting involved as the hackers took out a paid promotion. They posted up a ransom demand for $15k. When I refused, the page we suspect was simply sold on the dark web to a unscrupulous Californian company to turn it into a clone page to bolster up their flagging pages traffic. I contacted the company directly, they simply blocked me. After a week and out of frustration, I contacted Hacked.com to arrange a zoom meeting. After explaining the situation, Christian made it crystal clear that it was a messy situation so couldn't offer any guarantees but would try his best. 4 zoom meets and a host of legal requirements met, we took back control. I can categorically state, without Christians involvement, there was no way we would have taken our page back. If you're still reading this as you're in this sort of situation, simply reach out to Christian. I had a few dark moments out of frustration and the thought of losing our page that I've spent 13 years building and the lost of 13 years of customers history. Christian was there whenever I needed a personal pick up too. We're extremely grateful for his assistance 🙏
