A customer only paid $12 for my product even though I charged it at $60. Anyone care to explain? And please give me the rest of my money. Worse now my customers are telling me they are not receiving the product after purchasing. Another one, my sales are not even updating if anything they are going down. If I ask the customer service they ask me if I have proof these sales even happened.

I deleted my account, and they still charged me. Customer support sucks as well. Very condescending.

Very good customer service, I had a problem with a product and in 24 hours it had already been solved, it is my experience and I do recommend them

Ok Gumroad lets stop lying ok Part_1 Gumroad Stop Lying Explain this Incident from 2019 and the person TRUEBONES is still on your site selling ripped Game assets on your site still. This is a letter from a lawyer Who found this guy on your site Infringing their work and he is still there to this day. Why have you not removed his account for fraud yet it has been a year now! Parker Poe From : Christoper M. Thomas Partner September 12, 2019 Via email TO: Sahil Lavingia Chief Executive Officer Gumroad,Inc 548 Market Street San Francisco, California (94104-5401) RE: Takedown Notice Copyright re: Copyright Infringement on Gumroad Website gumroad Our Client Epic Games Inc. Dear Mr. Lavinga: This letter is a follow up to an email correspondence between you and my client, Epic Games, Inc. (“Epic”). As I expect you know, Epic is a well-known Developer and publisher of videogames, and is the creator of the video game Fortnite, which has close to 250 million registered accounts across the world. Epic works hard to create, innovate and continually improve Fortnite to make it, and the experiences of those who play and watch it, as enjoyable as possible. One of the ways Epic Protects the integrity of Fortnite is to prevent scammers from unlawfully using Epic’s copyright-protected works to deceive members of the Fortnite community. Fortnite is the subject of U.S Copyright Registration Nos. TXu01-895-*64 (dated December 18, 2013 ), Tx008-186-254 (dated July 14,2015), TX008-254-659 (dated March 3,2016) TX008-352-178(dated December 23,2016) and Tx008-507-210 (dated March 21,2018) among others. These copyright registrations cover Fortnite’s computer code and the Audio-visual works and images that code generates. These copyrights are protected under the U.S. Copyright Act and International treaties that extend those rights to other countries. A Few weeks ago, Epic and Gumroad exchanged a number of emails about copyright infringement committed by Truebones and other sellers on Gumroad’s website at gumroad A copy of that email exchange is attached at Exhibit A Upon receiving Epic’s Initial email regarding this content, Cheryl, Manager of Support at Gumroad, “oh dear, that’s a lot of products.” See Exhibit A. We agree with Cheryl: it is a lot of products. Simply put, Gumroad is a wash in material that infringes Epic’s copyright in Fortnite and we demand that Gumroad act expeditiously to remove, or disable access to, the Infringing Materials. If Gumroad Fails to do so, Gumroad will not be able to avail itself of the DMCA’s safe-harbor provision, 2 and will be Liable for monetary damages as a result of its contributory infringement of Epic’s copyrights. For example, Gumroad has not provided contact information for a designated agent to the U.S Copyright Office as required by 17 U.S.C. ss 512©(2) . See also 37 C.F.R ss 201.38 (Any Service provider seeking to comply with section 512( c ) of the statute must: ( 1 ) Designate an agent…by providing to the Copyright Office, the service provider and designated agent information required by paragraph (b) of this section…”) Mr Shahil Lavingia Gumroad, Inc September 12 , 2019 page 2PPab 5110664v2, This letter is a follow up on that email exchange and puts you on notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) 1 that the content at the following links on Gumroad’s website( the “Infringing Materials” ) Infringes Epic’s Above-Identified copyrighted works:

This website is an utter SCAM! They let me as a creator in and all of a sudden they filed multiple chargebacks against my account and they eventually withdraw all my earnings for themselves! Not googling them before creating an account was my mistake in the first place, so BE CAREFUL FOLK!

Happy to clarify the situation for anyone reading this. *Gumroad* does not file chargebacks - customers and credit card processors do. All we can do is fight the chargebacks after they happen. This is the case with all online merchants. We explain chargebacks in detail here: https://help.gumroad.com/article/134-how-does-gumroad-handle-chargebacks In this specific case, Mostafa made several sales on Gumroad, was paid out for those sales, and then accumulated over two dozen chargebacks. These chargebacks cost Gumroad and its partners over $1000 in chargeback fees. Because of this loss, our banking partners forced us to remove Mostafa's account from the platform. We address this in the above mentioned article, as well as https://help.gumroad.com/article/160-suspension Mostafa, I'm sorry that this happened to you - clearly, this wasn't your fault, but our banking partners are extremely strict about creators who get a lot of chargebacks. We should have explained the situation more thoroughly to you at the time of your suspension.

I made my first sale for a logo last week and have had my account suspended with no reason as to why. My profile has been deleted and I'm clearly not getting the money for the sale. Im absolutely fuming and gumroad doesn't seem to have any live-support to speak to as their twitter and facebook doesn't accept messages - convenient... Please do not use gumroad, I thought all of these poor reviews were fake haters. Sadly I now know the truth its a con.

Hi Joe! Nice to see you again. Just to clarify for folks reading this, Joe was paid out for his sale. We are not a great site if you're selling high price point custom products, unfortunately. Our banking partners are extremely nervous about that kind of thing. If you are looking to sell high price point products, I suggest using Stripe Connect. We don't accept messages on Twitter and Facebook not because we hate support, but because it's easier for everyone - creators, customers, and us - if we consolidate all support issues in one place: [email protected]
