Avoid Claims
We purchased a 3 year warranty on multiple pieces of furniture. 2 years in, we decided our mushed down cushions just weren't working out. We'd tried to fluff them ourselves, figure out online ways of restuffing and even rotate cushions. Nothing seemed to work. I called Guardian to file a claim and sent pics of the couch. They denied the claim saying we didn't report the issue within 30 days of it happening. The email also stated "this is the final decision" with no opportunity to respond since this was an unmonitored mailbox. How do you decide when cushions go too soft? What are the specific characteristics the smushed cushion threshold? It seems they simply don't want to manage a claim on furniture that doesn't outlive the coverage. Now we are stuck with a terrible couch having paid for coverage that seems useless.
