Grow TherapyReviews of growtherapy.com

The therapist makes all the difference in the world and I was fortunate to have found a great therapist. That said, I was very hesitant to trust the Grow Therapy app. I am not a fan of AI when it comes to subjects like this. I have found though that this app is very, very helpful especially at times when your therapist is not available or in between sessions. I have and will continue to recommend Grow to people who are looking for good mental healthcare. The app won me over and I do highly recommend this service.

I unfortunately had a negative experience with Tasha. I have a rare allergy called Progestogen Hypersensitivity which causes me to have allergic reactions to progesterone produced by my own body. It took nearly a year, multiple systemic allergic reactions and various frustrating doctor’s appointments for me to finally get this diagnosis. I missed a lot of work and income being passed between my dermatologist, allergist and OBGYN. It has been very anxiety inducing watching my body be covered in rashes and not being able to find a doctor to know how to help me. I was able to get this diagnosis from reading research articles, combing through Facebook support groups, and bringing what I found to my doctors. I shared all of this process with Tasha. Working through the trauma of this experience is what led me to return to therapy. After our initial session, Tasha asked for my consent to complete a personality disorder screening in collaboration with a psychiatrist that she works with. Throughout the 4-5 sessions I met with her, she threw out multiple medical diagnoses which frankly are not within her scope of practice to diagnose. She mentioned PTSD. She mentioned that my mother likely had borderline personality disorder. First she said the results of my personality screener were coming back inconclusive. Then she told me that because I also was a practicing clinician (in a separate but similar field to mental health therapy), she felt comfortable to cautiously tell me that I had OCD and likely illness anxiety disorder, which is more commonly known as being a hypochondriac. This was beyond unprofessional to me, considering that it is not within the scope of a mental health therapist to diagnose me with this and I have never interacted with the psychiatrist that she works with beyond him reading my responses to a single screener. Being told that I was a hypochondriac also damaged my trust with working with Tasha. Here was another professional telling me that I was making all of this up in my head. Additionally, I shared another chronic illness that I am being worked up for which I will not name out of respect for Tasha, as Tasha also shared with me that she has the same diagnosis. Based on some of her comments made in our sessions, I got the impression that she did not believe me because her experience with the diagnosis was not as severe as mine. I have since found a therapist that specializes in working with people with chronic illnesses. If you are a person with a chronic illness or a complex medical history, I would not recommend working with this therapist.

Tina is the perfect for my daughter, Lilliana. She is nice, smart, great with kids, understanding and very flexible with appointments. This is why she has such great reviews. She doesn't feel intimidating to kids at all and talks to them on their level. I feel very blessed to have found her!

I love, love, love Grow Therapy because it is easier to set, change and reschedule apointments as well as choose our therapists and communicate with them. I have recommended it to many people.

he was polite and decent ,he made sure I understood and in 1st,.session it went really smooth.Nnamdi ofoeze, he's a good person.

I chose the first therapist Grow recommended for me, and she is great! I love meeting with her. She is supportive and challenging in the right proportions. The platform is very easy to navigate and I really like the session recaps, which are available if you allow the therapist to use AI to take notes. Billing communication is very good and overall communications reminders, etc. are all very helpful. I would recommend Grow Therapy to anyone seeking support.

Bruce took the time to fully analyze my situation and got right to work on it. My sleep issues were complicated but together we worked through them. I've had multiple sessions and about to finish up with CBT for sleep. Hopefully my improvement will last Thank you Bruce

My experience has been so absolutely beautiful with Grow Therapy. I feel heard, it's easy to schedule appointments and I can safely attend my sessions online.
