Advertised price was incorrect and given a billed 4x higher for 300$ for a 30 minute session. Do not fall for their bait and switch.

Grow is a mental health platform built to enable progress — connecting people with thousands of qualified therapists vetted across specialties, identities, and lived experiences, covered by insurance. We didn't begin with a theory about the market. We began with someone trying to help someone they loved, with the realization that when someone you care about needs mental health support, the system can feel cold, confusing, expensive, and built to wear people down. So we built something better to help people find care they can afford, stay with, and actually feel supported by — care that doesn't just work, but makes progress possible. We are not only for crisis. We are for all the moments when someone decides they want more: more support, more clarity, more tools. Because our goal isn't just to help people feel better — it's to help people achieve their goals in life. That starts with finding the right therapist, which is why we make it easy to search by specialty, language, cultural background, and identity, with care covered by insurance, appointments available in as little as 2 days, and most clients paying around $21 per session. Many pay $0, and self-pay and sliding scale options are also available. We are committed to a mental health experience that's easier to begin, more affordable to maintain, and grounded in trust — rethinking not just how people access care, but how care feels, because life doesn't pause between sessions, and with Grow, support doesn't either. So far, 15 million sessions have started on Grow, each one a step forward for someone, somewhere, building the life they've always wanted. With 220M lives covered, appointments offered virtually or in-person, including evenings and weekends, and clear cost estimates with no subscriptions to worry about, it's no surprise that 80%+ of Grow clients report feeling better after starting therapy. Worst service ever, they said they did put a block on my account so I couldn’t be charged because that’s how supposed to be for my insurance. Then, I been charged to my credit card after I been told that. They do refunded but cost a lot to do that for their service that is not the best. Apart, I left a negative review to a provider as info for the public and grow just hide my review, unacceptable and disrespectful. What really bothers me is how they play with people, when I call yesterday, the lady told me they will call me just right now, and more than 24 hours later, I’m still waiting that call.

The therapists that I have met through Grow are wonderful people. The platform and the customer service has a long way to go in terms of understanding how to connect with clients, to have appropriate boundaries with clients and how not to be intrusive. I was complete with my first therapist given the modality we were using, and found another therapist who has the next set of skills that I want to utilize and I made an appointment with them In a day or two I received an email saying that the new therapist was recommending that I schedule with other therapists instead. I contacted Grow and explained that I myself chose to discontinue with the first therapist on Grow, and had chosen someone new. Grow could not grok what I was saying. They were convinced that the new therapist was making recommendations for me to see someone else. A few days later Grow sent another email to me saying they could see that I hadn't yet scheduled with one of the therapists they recommended. They were implying that the therapist that I chose and scheduled with was sending me off to find another therapist. I checked in with the new therapist and they never suggested this, I am on their schedule. Grow has a very poor system that doesn't have the intelligence or sensitivity that a client and therapist need, and they don't respect the intelligence of a client or know enough to recognize that their system sent an automated message to me as if it was coming from my new therapist. A therapy platform shouldn't have glitches like this, and the customer service people who support clients should check facts before telling a client that their chosen therapist wants them to see someone else. Very insensitive.
hello
I am extremely disappointed with Grow Therapy company. My provider Diana Ramos Elvir completely stood me up, leaving me waiting for an entire hour without sending a single message or warning. To make matters worse, when I tried to leave an honest review on the platform to alert other patients about this lack of respect, Grow Therapy's moderation team rejected and censored my review and voice, claiming they couldn't post it. It is unacceptable that they shield unprofessional providers by hiding negative experiences. This is a severe lack of respect for patients' time and emotional well-being. I did contact grow for that situations and as evidences that I have, they just ignored me after confirm they just censored my review that doesn’t contain private information. I saw here on others reviews, is not the first time this happened, that they hide negative reviews from clients, completely disrespectful.

Lori Darnell Weeks was my provider, and she has undisclosed biases that impact her bedside manner and her ability to care for disabled people. There was nowhere to report this other than my review, and they hid my review from her page.

Grow therapy stole my money out of my account and I'm on a fixed income. I had trouble making a first time appointment and when AI was on a virtual appointment the therapist said I could only book one therapist at a time . I said ai know that then she said your booked with two and she said she would take care of it. Then I got message from the company saying don't worry about paying the $50.00. Well I was going to continue with them but I'd rather be seen by a more qualified company and not one who steals from people on disability. Grow therapy needs to realize some people have issues and especially trust issues when they stole from me they created a bad taste in my mouth.

I unfortunately had a negative experience with Tasha. I have a rare allergy called Progestogen Hypersensitivity which causes me to have allergic reactions to progesterone produced by my own body. It took nearly a year, multiple systemic allergic reactions and various frustrating doctor’s appointments for me to finally get this diagnosis. I missed a lot of work and income being passed between my dermatologist, allergist and OBGYN. It has been very anxiety inducing watching my body be covered in rashes and not being able to find a doctor to know how to help me. I was able to get this diagnosis from reading research articles, combing through Facebook support groups, and bringing what I found to my doctors. I shared all of this process with Tasha. Working through the trauma of this experience is what led me to return to therapy. After our initial session, Tasha asked for my consent to complete a personality disorder screening in collaboration with a psychiatrist that she works with. Throughout the 4-5 sessions I met with her, she threw out multiple medical diagnoses which frankly are not within her scope of practice to diagnose. She mentioned PTSD. She mentioned that my mother likely had borderline personality disorder. First she said the results of my personality screener were coming back inconclusive. Then she told me that because I also was a practicing clinician (in a separate but similar field to mental health therapy), she felt comfortable to cautiously tell me that I had OCD and likely illness anxiety disorder, which is more commonly known as being a hypochondriac. This was beyond unprofessional to me, considering that it is not within the scope of a mental health therapist to diagnose me with this and I have never interacted with the psychiatrist that she works with beyond him reading my responses to a single screener. Being told that I was a hypochondriac also damaged my trust with working with Tasha. Here was another professional telling me that I was making all of this up in my head. Additionally, I shared another chronic illness that I am being worked up for which I will not name out of respect for Tasha, as Tasha also shared with me that she has the same diagnosis. Based on some of her comments made in our sessions, I got the impression that she did not believe me because her experience with the diagnosis was not as severe as mine. I have since found a therapist that specializes in working with people with chronic illnesses. If you are a person with a chronic illness or a complex medical history, I would not recommend working with this therapist.

I've been using Grow for about 6 months now. My therapist is great. If I could see them privately, I would. Grow's platform only stands to get in the way of therapists and their patients. They give you less than 24-hour window's notice of when they will charge for your last session. This makes it a nightmare when you have scheduled HSA deposits through work that don't always have enough funds at the time of being charged. I've had appointments cancelled without mine or my therapist's knowledge. I was told by their customer service that this was standard practice for them, "In order to make the billing department's job easier." Because everyone knows we need to be worried about making the billing department's job easy first and foremost. Just again today, my therapist informed me they were unable to schedule me until I'd updated my card on file. Mind you, I'd pushed back the due date to better align with my deposits from work, but that wasn't good enough. I had to update to my credit card just to clear the flag on my account, only to switch it right back. It's a train wreck of a platform with no communication between billing and treatment, and even less empathy for patients. Customer service was rude and only defended their billing practices. Like I stated before, Grow's platform only serves to get in the way of therapists and their patients. Use any other platform or go direct to a private office if you can. I will always recommend patients go somewhere else.

Hi Enrique, Billing and scheduling processes should work together to support access to care, and we understand how important clear communication is throughout that process. We'd like to review these concerns further and have requested more information through Trustpilot. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to your response.
