The problem I have with grow Therapy is maneuvering around the website. I am not exactly IT oriented so I find it a little bit difficult.

Grow is a mental health platform built to enable progress — connecting people with thousands of qualified therapists vetted across specialties, identities, and lived experiences, covered by insurance. We didn't begin with a theory about the market. We began with someone trying to help someone they loved, with the realization that when someone you care about needs mental health support, the system can feel cold, confusing, expensive, and built to wear people down. So we built something better to help people find care they can afford, stay with, and actually feel supported by — care that doesn't just work, but makes progress possible. We are not only for crisis. We are for all the moments when someone decides they want more: more support, more clarity, more tools. Because our goal isn't just to help people feel better — it's to help people achieve their goals in life. That starts with finding the right therapist, which is why we make it easy to search by specialty, language, cultural background, and identity, with care covered by insurance, appointments available in as little as 2 days, and most clients paying around $21 per session. Many pay $0, and self-pay and sliding scale options are also available. We are committed to a mental health experience that's easier to begin, more affordable to maintain, and grounded in trust — rethinking not just how people access care, but how care feels, because life doesn't pause between sessions, and with Grow, support doesn't either. So far, 15 million sessions have started on Grow, each one a step forward for someone, somewhere, building the life they've always wanted. With 220M lives covered, appointments offered virtually or in-person, including evenings and weekends, and clear cost estimates with no subscriptions to worry about, it's no surprise that 80%+ of Grow clients report feeling better after starting therapy. I was very suspect of online therapy but Grow matched me well and so far so good. My therapist is just the right match for me and I really like the online aspect of it and they take my insurance. 10/10 Recommend!

Amy Fisher and my connection had not been working since our first visit. We have to use another link so I can hear her. She doesn't have this problem with any other clients. We have troubleshooted and still cannot hear her.

There is a bit too much contact pre and post contact in the form of emails. Not clear about where the patient portal is. Otherwise ok.

This is a great platform for providers and their clients, especially PMHNPs. The only drawback is the occasional technological issue that Grow wont pick up my camera or microphone on certain devices or internet platforms, in particular, android devices.

Logging on from my computer was not straightforward as it kept giving me an error message without any explanation. Navigating the website was also a bit confusing. I find the automated check-ins not very useful since there are limited and/or vague responses which don't really capture how a person is feeling or what they're experiencing. Not sure what purpose these check-ins serve. On the other hand, it wasn't too complicated to schedule appointments using the app, which was a plus.

Grow Therapy makes it easy to get started. I put off therapy for a long time because of how much work I thought it would be to get started again. But Grow Therapy made it easy and quick. Finding providers is simple. But what really impressed me is the ability to switch providers. I tried 3 different providers before finding the right personality match for me. Switching between providers was made really easy by the fact that I didn't have to fill out the same paperwork and answer all the same questions for each provider. I answered them once and was able to auto-fill the forms the next time. Working with my insurance has been painless as well. How often can you say that? The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I'd like to see Grow Therapy expand their filtering options. There are ways to find therapists who are of one religion or another. That's great for people who want faith involved in their therapy experience. But for those of us who have religious trauma or want absolutely no faith in our experience, we have no way of excluding providers from search results based on their faith. This meant every time I found a therapist I thought I would like, I had to remember to scroll to the bottom of their profile to see if the therapist identifies as a member of that faith. It was just an extra step that could have easily been avoided if you were able to filter out providers based on their faith. Or if there was an option for only showing providers without a faith identity. Also, Grow Therapy does a pretty good job of letting you find providers whose identities reflect your own. But I noticed there's no filter for finding providers with physical disabilities. As a blind person myself, I'd have liked the option to easily sort and find providers who also identify as having a disability. There are a lot of ways the disabled experience impacts mental health, and having the ability to find a therapist who truly gets it and lives through it would have been nice. Thankfully I found a great therapist. But if I ever need to switch providers or find a new one for any reason, it'd be nice to have more filtering options.

The platform is not always user friendly for individuals who are less tach savvy.
