A Breath of Fresh Air
Scheduling was easy and convenient, and the quality of my therapist was superb!

Grow is a mental health platform built to enable progress — connecting people with thousands of qualified therapists vetted across specialties, identities, and lived experiences, covered by insurance. We didn't begin with a theory about the market. We began with someone trying to help someone they loved, with the realization that when someone you care about needs mental health support, the system can feel cold, confusing, expensive, and built to wear people down. So we built something better to help people find care they can afford, stay with, and actually feel supported by — care that doesn't just work, but makes progress possible. We are not only for crisis. We are for all the moments when someone decides they want more: more support, more clarity, more tools. Because our goal isn't just to help people feel better — it's to help people achieve their goals in life. That starts with finding the right therapist, which is why we make it easy to search by specialty, language, cultural background, and identity, with care covered by insurance, appointments available in as little as 2 days, and most clients paying around $21 per session. Many pay $0, and self-pay and sliding scale options are also available. We are committed to a mental health experience that's easier to begin, more affordable to maintain, and grounded in trust — rethinking not just how people access care, but how care feels, because life doesn't pause between sessions, and with Grow, support doesn't either. So far, 15 million sessions have started on Grow, each one a step forward for someone, somewhere, building the life they've always wanted. With 220M lives covered, appointments offered virtually or in-person, including evenings and weekends, and clear cost estimates with no subscriptions to worry about, it's no surprise that 80%+ of Grow clients report feeling better after starting therapy. I enjoyed my first session today I’ve met with a lot of counselors and just felt like they were just asking me questions in writing things down. Michael was warm and intelligent. We got a good foundation started. I broke down and cried a little and had a little release and he gave me lots of coping skills and tactics actual solutions I can utilize in my life until the next time we meet it was very refreshing to have such a good counselor

This experience outside of in office therapy has been very rewarding. Being able to connect on a neutral platform has been very beneficial to how I approach therapy and being able to fully open up with my feelings and thoughts.

So simple! Got on the site, answered a few question, picked from a host of therapists that matched my areas of need, booked a session and now I’m officially back on my mental health journey. If I knew it was that easy, I would have done it earlier.

By far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a therapist. I was looking for a therapist and grow was one of the first ones to come up. I spent time going through therapist, put all my information and insurance information in. I was informed they accepted my insurance and started doing by weekly sessions with a therapist. All seemed well until last week when I received an email saying I was going to be charged 164 dollars for one session. They are now trying to say that it’s “out of network”, after telling me I had no cost and was covered. I received another email today, saying I was going to be charged another 164 dollars. So apparently they are trying to charge me 164 dollars for each session I had with my therapist. Do not give this company your credit card information unless you want to fight them and their fraudulent charges. I hope this helps someone from dealing with what I’m dealing with right now.

I worked with Phillip Jerdon for a couple of months earlier this year. He facilitated the most unusual trauma-based therapy with me. I find that it’s impossible to explain or describe the process, really. This therapy opened me up and allowed me to express a lot of pain and say goodbye to it for good. As he says, this method is gentle. It was important for me to go through this because I have found that doing so has been freeing – physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I didn't seek help until I was in a state of deep chronic emotional pain, feeling like, "I have to do something. This is not working." I've learned that I can reach out and trust and get real, lasting help. I thank Phillip for being there then at exactly the right time in my life. He helped to improve my quality of life, a lot. A.
