They "cancelled" my Black Friday order after 2 weeks of not shipping it, claiming that there was some sort of technical issue when I paid, so they can't process the order. Held onto my money for weeks, now I won't be able to get the laptop for Christmas, and obviously Black Friday is gone now... Just a bad experience overall. I didn't get the product, or my money back, not to mention the time (with Christmas approaching) and opportunity cost (Black Friday).

I purchased a GDP pocket 4 on backorder and received a receipt but no information on when to expect the system. It would be nice to get a notice letting me know when the unit may be shipped. The Receipt said 7 to 10 days but does it apply, since it's on backorder?

Turned out all fine, although there was no (visible) progress initially
Placed an order on 2025-11-25 with an indicated "Shipping (7-10 Working Days - Not Insured)", but other than an email stating "We are processing your order" upon placing said order, I haven't heard anything from gpdstore.net since. I'm based in Germany and am accustomed to being notified by reputable vendors (1) when an order is being prepared to be shipped and (2a) when it is actually being handed over to the postal service together with (2b) tracking information -- is this not how you do things in the UK?
Update: the above was written on 2025-12-02, when prompted by Trustpilot.
Today, 2025-12-05, I'm very pleased to note that I've just been informed via email (in French, how cool is that) that "Le transporteur a prélevé le colis." Tracking information has been provided, as well.
Update:
Today, 2025-12-06, the parcel has been delivered.

Great device
First of all, my order got to me a day early, so bonus points for that. But this device is perfect for what I needed. It doesnt scream "gaming device" from a mile away, you can hide the gaming buttons, and even when you are playing on it, it does a great job at it. Win Max 2, I love this thing. I already own a ROG Flow Z13, and while that thing is amazing, most of the time youre only running it at half power when you don't have a good enough power source, the win max 2 isn't as demanding, so im always able to charge that in any vehicle while using it

Pocket (Rocket) 4 - A very useful tool!
The pocket 4 itself is literally a pocket rocket but even with battery saver it burns energy quite quickly even on medial tasks. Additionally, when I received my pocket 4 I had to put the secure boot in place myself and good job I did as my computer was being hacked at the same time. Additionally I ordered my pocket 4 when in stock but it soon went into back order so I had to wait a little while before I received it. Additionally it is apparently only available with US keyboard layout not British. However, for travel and for use in any environment this machine does the job and then some, it's quick, efficient and has a great screen for the size and if you need them it has optional modules for specific ports. The pocket 4 is ideal for professionals on the move or for those who are not in a position to carry the weight of a full size laptop for any reason.
