I bought a ticket from gotobeat only to find out that it was a standing ticket. I wrote to them asking if I could get a refund; got a response from a Bernadette who was kind enough to help me cancel my ticket and issue a refund. Many thanks

Disappointing experience overall. The event was postponed/cancelled and I only received a partial refund because the company retained the booking/service fees. While this may be stated in their terms and conditions, I personally do not think it is fair to charge customers fees for an event they ultimately could not attend due to circumstances outside their control. Customer support did respond and explain the policy before processing the refund, so I appreciate the communication. However, I still disagree with the refund policy itself and found the overall experience frustrating. I would recommend that customers read the refund terms carefully before purchasing tickets.

We are very sorry that the overall experience was disappointing. We completely understand how frustrating it is when an event is postponed and you are no longer able to attend the rescheduled date. As explained during our email exchange, your refund was processed in line with our terms and conditions, with only the non-refundable booking/service fees retained. That said, we do appreciate your feedback, and we understand that this can still feel disappointing from a customer perspective. To help avoid similar frustration in the future, we have a ticket protection scheme, giving customers an additional option at checkout for greater peace of mind if their plans change or they are unable to attend.
