We have been customers of Shippo for many years. The website was compromised and someone used the website to generate labels we have been charged for this even though Shippo was informed about the security breach a day before the labels were generated. In the end, we have been charged 350 USD! Shippo professionally resolved the issue and fully refunded us.

They suddenly charged me 20€ for NO reason?! I haven’t even used that website in months! I never signed up for a signed subscription, i was on a free plan. After 2 months not using their platform they charge me 20€ that i knew nothing about, not even a confirmation email that i paid for it!!!!! This is a scam website genuinely, STAY AWAY as much as possible please!

Shippo offers a free plan, as well as a paid plan (with a free trial) that automatically renews after the free trial unless canceled. If you were charged unexpectedly, it’s possible that your account transitioned to a paid plan after the free trial ended. We strive to keep our billing process transparent by sending confirmation emails at the start of the trial and before transitioning to a paid plan. I was torn between 2 and 3 stars for Shippo I used them for about 2 years to send antiques clocks and other antiques. The problem is they force you to use this scam company called XCover for insurance that is totally PC generated garbage that tells you repeatedly to send more info they already have too be able to proceed with a perfectly legit claim. There is no one to talk to and Shippo just continues to use them making me believe this is one way they make money. Get a hold of Shippo rep and they are sorry and wish you happy shipping etc but why in the world do they not allow customer who sends high end packages to use a better insurance option like insureshield?? Shippo is pretty good besides that and if they ever wise up and dump this trash XCover I might consider going back but for now I switched to Pirate Ship who at least lets customer/shipper to use UPS's 100 for every package then Insureshield for higher amounts and there are people to talk to there to see what they need for a claim to proceed.

Shippo provided me a bad label that was not accepted by usps with the proper informationneeded to ship to military? The service rep. Admitted this and still would not refund me?

As per other recent review. Shippo made an outrageous "address validation" invoice for around 9000 orders at once (Nearly $1000 USD) with no breakdown of how these charges could have occurred. The fact we have only used shippo for a handful of orders this year. They keep attempting to charge the card daily, even though it has been reported to customer service and they acknowledge there is a widespread error. We will have to pursue the fraudulent charges through the bank like the other recent review. Very disappointing as we have used the service for around 6 years.

As a business we don't recommend working with Shippo. They attempt to charge a "address validation fee" even if any parcel will be sent and any shipping label will be used, they just give the final bill with enourmous amounts. Please be aware of this and be aware that this is not a business compliant procedure. We raised a chargeback with our bank and informed our lawyer, they will have to faces legal consequences now. We hope this review could warn many other businesses to stay away from shippo, unless you are actively using the platform and then address validation makes sense. Otherwise stay away and be ready to deal legally with them.

Getting insurance is a joke on Shippo. It is a 3rd party company called XCOVER, you pay for it on the shipment with Shippo. If something happens to your product in shipping you are basically not able to actually file a claim. A claim has to be filed within 10 days of it being delivered. This does not work if you ship with Amazon and the customer has 30 days to return the item. You need to get the product back from the customer to get photos to submit the claim within the 10 days of delivering it to the customer. So the customer is supposed to just get it and ship it back right away. This doesn't happen with Amazon customers. Therefore, all claims become invalid and you can not submit. The timeframe for a claim is a joke.
