Pricing was right.

There is zero reason not to sign up for this, even if you have decent health insurance. Registration takes about 2 minutes and you can start using it right away. You can instantly check your neighbourhood to find the best price locally - the variations are really significant. With Good RX Gold I am paying about 5% of what the same pharmacy would charge me otherwise for the same meds. Price savings are applied at the register. As I hate paperwork of any sort, GoodRX has been a godsend. As you can see, I’m a happy customer and have been from the moment I first signed up, in 2018 - it’s now 2024 and I have had only great experiences.

As an uninsured brittle type 1 diabetic my diabetes management hinges on the ability that I can use my Tandem tslim with control IQ. This requires a Dexcom G7 along with supplies which was totaling almost 784 a month through a medical equipment supplier. When Walgreens was able to get compatible sensors in stock, I got my doctor to send a prescription to them as now I don’t have to wait for an unreliable and indifferent supplier. The only problem with this, was that the prices were the same. Walgreens store discount was like 10 dollars. One day when I was filling the prescription, I figured I would at least look at GoodRx as I think Walgreens is a pretty major partner with GoodRx as well thinking that there were probably going to be no discounts as it isn’t a medication but a device. Boy was I wrong! The GoodRx code lowered the price from 400 to 199. It was as easy as requesting it be billed through GoodRx with the code. Easy peasy, picked up my prescription at the price advertised. I’d be using GoodRx for everything if my local pharmacy didn’t have my insulin at a lower price than GoodRx and my pump supplies didn’t have to be ordered through a supplier. My request for GoodRx would be to attempt to start a relationship with the equipment suppliers and maybe work to create a lower cost medical distributor.

I get little better price with GoodRX, sometimes better than my insurance co-pay. However, not always accurate on the net cost. Also, I am able to get a 90-day supply on some meds, while my insurance only allows for a 30-day supply. Overall, I am happy with GoodRX!
