I don't like giving negative reviews
I don't like giving negative reviews, but I must in this case. After waiting several weeks to receive my "smart case" and install my iPad in it, I was able, though not without some difficulty, to get it and my keyboard to pair. The keyboard functioned well, and I had learned to depend on it for several weeks when it simply "unpaired" from my iPad. After repeatedly following the original procedure that did the first pairing without success, my first plea for help to Customer Service brought me an obviously "canned" reply, telling me nothing I had not already done more than once. I further indicated that I had tried the pairing process several times since receiving the canned message, with no success. They asked for video clip of each step of what I was doing for their "technical department." I sent them a set of still photos, showing the nonexistence of indicator lights, plus a shot of each keyboard command of the pairing directions I had executed. I further explained each step of the pairing process I employed to go with the photos. I pointed out that even the indicator lights were nonfunctional. I got a reply requiring videos for their "technical department." I took the shortest videos I could take and still have any relevance, but they were too large for my iPhoneX to export. I explained this in a reply, and got the same message—send a short video clip. I've now explained that this is apparently impossible. I got a third note asking for a video for their "technical department," which seems to imply that it is so full of geniuses that it can detect a power supply, battery, power switch, or whatever failure from video clips and that they can repair such via email. I will be sending my 7th message to CS as soon as I post this review. In it I will paste a copy of their "100 true satisfaction" guarantee they feature on their Online advertising, asking if they intend to fulfill it. I will not hold my breath for a positive response. I'm near the point of concluding that is a fraudulent product sold by a dishonest company. If I could send a zero star rating, I would do so at this point. Totally frustrated with an attractive and pricey, but dead—piece of junk.
