This is the worst place to take exams because after I finished with the Test my computer was frozen to a blue screen for a total of five minutes and all my history was deleted can't be found and my personal password was rest

Absolutely worst place to take an exam. For your own good take the exam at your school or a testing center. This website is absolute trash.

I don't know if it's poor communication between the university and ProctorU, or just terrible customer service. The student is treated like garbage, which I guess makes sense since the actual customer is the university. Blackout dates (when ProctorU schedules maintenance and doesn't allow you to schedule exams) seem to always fall on weekends. Not exactly convenient for students who have full time jobs from Monday to Friday. This past quarter I had to take days off from work for 3 of the 5 exams I had. That's annoying enough, but they way they treat you when you request support is as if you're going out of your way to irritate them.

This system is HORRIBLE. Customer service is Rude. They continually transfer you to this person. Log me remote and still can't access even though pc says they are in and still cant help. Brought a Mac just to test and they had me install all this stuff zips and all and nothing Works sat over 3 hours troubleshooting and got nothing but a rude person. This is so frustrating and disappointing. Still didn't test. Rep so rude he disconnected the chat. Im over it. Testing anxiety and all is stressful enough and this company and program makes it no better. Personally since I test in the wee hours they don't want to work

The absolute worst testing experience. I was unable to take my exam two times because I got stuck on systems check page. It is definitely not an issue with my computer or WiFi. The customer representatives are rude and kept sending me to other customer representatives who were not helpful either. I am so disappointed. Complete waste of time.

Quite simply the worst and most impractical program to use when sitting an exam that requires you to draw lines from a plan. Nothing and no one prepares you how to use this functionality. I was kicked out of the second part of my exam and whilst the operator was somewhat helpful trying to rectify the issue, the timer had already started and I was losing precious time. I had only minutes to spare upon completion. This caused unnecessary stress and panic. I do not understand why time was deducted when I was not actually taking part in the exam at that time. Do not recommend.

I believe this is the first time I will leave a one-star review on any good/service. I have had nightmare experiences with ProctorU mainly stemming from problems that would not let me access my tests and technical support being close to useless. There are awful proctors here and there too which make the whole process too horrible. If any institution reads this review, please consider contracting other third party similars that are not as awful as ProctorU is. You will save students a lot of headaches. Oh, and for the love of god, please let it be clear that you cannot take the test if you are using a laptop with a second monitor for instances such as a broken screen. They don't make it clear and is an overall mess.

I am a US-based post-grad student, and my experience with ProctorU was among the worst of my life. I thought it would be safer for me to take the GRE at home during the COVID-19 pandemic, but I would rather take my chances with the virus than deal with another rude, ruthless Indian proctor. He took control of my machine, ran scripts, checked my settings, relentlessly asked me to show him every angle of my room including under my desk, interrupted me during my test, and generally left me feeling completely violated. Worst of all, I was locked out of my test during a break, presumably because I stepped out of view of the camera to go to the bathroom. I rescheduled my test at an in person testing center, because I would literally do anything other than deal with these awful subcontractors again. ETS/GRE should be ashamed of themselves. Other standardized tests often only require you to keep your webcam on during the test, which is far more reasonable (for example, the CASPer).
