Many bad experiences with this platform, from technical difficulties that take over an hour for them to solve, to false accusations of cheating that don't even make sense, but this recent experience takes the cake. I had an exam today after having a stroke 2 days ago. Obviously my wife is paranoid about the idea of leaving me alone for 3 hours even though I told her I'd be fine, I fully expected that she would peak her head in the room at some point to make sure I was alive. I told my proctor beforehand about this and that she may peak in for a split second at some point. His response - "nobody else is allowed in the room. There is zero tolerance". Just had me dying laughing inside at how ridiculous these people are.

HORRIBLE!! It doesn’t take MOST computers, something always needs to be updated to proceed. They literally made me rearrange my room, I had to move a HEAVY FISH TANK OFF THE TABLE. I moved so much we lost connection. & I MISSED MY TEST!! My test was scheduled for 11:40, it was a 32 question TIMED test due for 3:00. first they wanted chrome updated, then I had to download links, then it was “fixed”, then they went through my apps & deleted some, then rebooted my computer at this point its been 2 hrs it’s pass 3:00 I got an F. HORRIBLE service, I was passed through 3 proctors & 4 technicians. Lucky my professor let me take it after this debacle

Why are you even still scrolling through reviews you should know that its bad by now. Honestly I don't know how a class action lawsuit hasn't been filed yet.

Hi there, I was recently taking an exam with you guys, my technician was Jose P. I understand that your guys's protocol is checking the surroundings, but when I am told to move pieces of clothing, that is ridiculous. I had moved my blanket up to cover my chest more and the proctor got mad and asked if it was a jacket. Then, when a small noise is heard he stops the test and makes me recheck the room. Again, I understand, but here is the kicker. I was moving my lips to understand my exam a little better as I am dyslexic with vertigo and have a very hard time reading sometimes, I am told that I am not allowed to speak or move my lips at all during the exam. That's not all either, but that is so ridiculous. You crossed the line when I was told not to move my lips and ruined my test for me. Then it gets unsent, because I had left! I am very upset and I was very uncomfortable during that hour. Even more upset that I had paid for that. I really would like my money back. Thanks. (This was my email to the customer service) Telling me to remove articles of clothing and going through my closet, and making it to where I can't understand my test. This was disgusting and set up for failure.

Completely unreliable - service rep could not connect to the internet and disconnected me from my test. Service rep also did not speak conversational English. Poor direction from the start They also froze my computer and removed my ability to access it even after the test abruptly ended

I am trying to finish an exam in this exact moment. It has been 7 hours. I have never been so frustrated in my ENTIRE life. Absolute TRASH.

Proctoru is the number one example of why technology is ruining education. Just another excuse for lazy teachers/professors to be lazy. My exam for an IN PERSON CLASS was through proctoru and was written for an online class.... which in my opinion is not fair at all. On top of that, my proctor changed half way through my test (one person couldn't wait 30 minutes for me to finish an exam..? k.) The setting up process is ridiculous. I had to clear everything off my desk (no like paper and stuff, I'm talking drinks, my pencil holder, MY FAN???). I'm not sure how they expect us to have a completely empty desk when we are taking this exam from home (be it a dorm, bedroom, apartment, or wherever). After I finished my exam, I asked my proctor questions to make sure it was submitted correctly and I got an automated message that did not help me at all.... Reached out to the chat box, got a bot that couldn't understand my question and asked me to "rephrase" is about 5 times before connecting me to a real person. I took a survey (first and last name, email, first time using proctoru, what my question was--again, ect.) when the real person finally got on, they asked what my question was.... and then my first and last name and email to confirm my account..... which... I just did. They told me to reconnect with my proctor and enter a 4 didget code (which I don't have), and then ended the chat.... F*** ProctorU.

I have used proctoru several times in college for my online classes. Every time I have used it has been different but definitely not good experiences. The most recent time I did it, they told me to reboot my computer because apparently something was blocking them from using my mouse. When I connected to the proctor after some time, she seemed unprofessional and did not communicate well. She was laughing with someone as I was talking to her. Not only that but she was so quiet and kept cutting out multiple times so I had to keep asking her to repeat what she said because I couldn’t hear a word she was saying. She seemed rude and just didn’t communicate well enough. I kept getting disconnected from the server so I couldn’t message my proctor. I felt so violated and uncomfortable with them taking control of my computer and messing with things on it. It just seems like a huge invasion of privacy. Proctoru gives me so much anxiety and it sucks.
