Horrible, horrible, horrible. I really don't even want to give 1 star, but I have no choice to be able to rate my experience. Customer service horrible and no one cares. They don't respond back in chat they send the message then hurry up and end the chat and transfers you to a tech. Then the tech says ok problem solved then send you back to the proctor. Then the proctor says no sending you back to tech and you do this back in forth for 2-3 hours before you can take you exam. By now your upset, tense, can barely even think or recall information for your test because of all the stress they put you through. I dread taking test on Proctur U and I send a long message to my professor asking why they use Proctor U and I hope the change.

My experience with Proctor was a complete disaster. They couldn't effectively address my technical issues and kept passing me between different proctors, which wasted my time and left me feeling helpless. When I finally spoke with a proctor, they gave me an attitude and unjustly blamed me for disabling access to my computer, even though it was clear the issue was on their end. I couldn't even attempt my test within the two-hour timeframe provided. This experience has been incredibly stressful, and the delay in taking my exam until February 2024 has pushed back my degree, leaving me devastated. I'd strongly advise looking for alternatives to avoid this nightmare.

During my ETS at-home test, the technician repeatedly restarted the system, causing significant delays beyond the reconnect time. After sending me a lengthy message, the technician abruptly closed my chatbox through the remote control without even transferring me back to my previous proctor. (I didn't even have a chance to read the first sentence! ) This prevented me from continuing the exam or seeking any help, and I couldn't even take screenshots of our conversation. Prior to this incident, I had already spent four hours troubleshooting various issues and attempting to establish a stable connection. This kind of rude and irresponsible behavior is extremely shocking and disappointing.

ZERO STARS just completed a proctor u exam and it was one of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life, my laptop screen for some stupid reason at an angle goes all reflective and dark, just because the optimum level to look at the screen is more angled. because of that i had to keep lowering my screen because the camera was cutting my shoulders out of the shot, and i had to sit hunched over the whole time and they wouldnt let me adjust my desk so that my laptop sat higher so i could be in frame and see the screen, this is my fault yes, it was just unfortunate and i want to complain. a legitimate fault i found was that the proctors always took forever to message back, and didnt read any of the messages that i had send to them, it was as if they were unable to answer more than one question at a time, i would have had to ask one question, wait for an answer, and then ask the next question, but even then i dont even think they knew what i was asking. not only that, the browser itself was so power draining, my laptop was whirring like a plane the whole entire time, when compared to my 20 tabs open in chrome. and the remote control they have over the devices caused my device to lag and freeze, i was stuck looking at the recording view for a good minute before the device would register and close the tab when i clicked on it. overall i condemn any institution that uses this program, i would have preferred to do a paper exam in person instead but i wasnt aware that my uni was giving that option as the unit itself was conducted through the online portal, which is not related to the campus, so that is my fault completely, but the program here does not have the students in mind, just more to collect money if they are "late" hopefully in the future there will be less invasive programs that will be used

It is disgusting how this company is allowed to operate the way it does. As a law student, exams are stressful enough without having to deal with rude proctors with no compassion, patience or common sense, stressing you out right before it. I have now done 6 invigilated exams in Proctor U and every single one of them has had one or more issues. 1. Proctor would not assist at all when the exam deleted what I had written an hour into the exam. Nowhere to be seen when I messaged them for help. So ended up having to re-write exam. 2. Proctor disconnected my exam half way through and then blamed my internet for it even though it was on their end 3. Proctor refused to let me in an exam because my current ID had an expired date (even though I showed the proof of renewal). New card hadn't arrived yet. Uni exams team were annoyed and apologetic that the proctor didn't even bother to call them. 4. Proctor threatened to refuse to let me in my exam because there was an extra screen in the room which couldn't be moved because it was BOLTED TO THE TABLE even though was unplugged and covered up. 5. Proctor left their sound on so I could hear talking all the way through exam. 6. Proctor not responding to chat box enquiry. 7. Proctor refused to let me have hard copy materials in exam even though they were listed as permitted. I'm sick of being treated like I'm already a cheater. Most people are there to do the right thing and we deserve to be kept calm and positive right before an exam. Proctor U does the absolute opposite!

The software is literally malaware and its extremely invasive.

I hate this service with a passion, it has caused me so much distress, from using bots to further push away access to live agent, to rude employees and barely trained. I missed two test from this company and they only work for a check, they do not care. Strongly hope they get shutdown.

The new Guardian browser is horrible.I have been connecting and taking test for a year and now my laptop and internet connection isn't good enough. The Guardian browser slows my system...I can operate on any other browser. My speed test are good and my Proctor U equipment test is good, but I am not allowed to take my exam. The proctor tonight said that I have to have 5gb upload and that is unheard of in a lot of the United States. I used to work for a major provider. My area has AT&T. AT&T only guarantees 1mbps upload. I have a gaming computer and my internet can connect to servers all over and game in "real time." The new Guardian browser uses AI to detect cheating, so that they can use fewer proctors. The issue is that it is a threat to the firewall and creates system issues. I had so many downloads from it and from "log me in"; the chat software they use. It also looks like I will have to wipe my computer to completely remove the spyware. Deleting should have been enough. I am not anywhere near capacity for memory and have 8gb of RAM available. I run multiple tabs, and programs without issues. This is ridiculous. Everyone needs to write emails to the proper admin, dean, supervisor, etc and complain. Ask them to switch proctoring services.
