GLS CanadaReviews of gls-canada.com

GLS Canada delivered my electric scooter this morning. I live on the 3rd floor of an apartment building and I am 50 years old. The young delivery guy buzzed my apartment and I let him in. I then opened my door and waited for the young man to bring my package up to me. When I heard nothing and no one coming I decided to go downstairs to see if I could help, only to notice the delivery guy just left the heavy package inside the building door and took off! I couldn’t believe that! Especially since I was home!!I have had quite a few deliveries to my current address and never has a delivery driver just left my package downstairs when I’ve let them into the building because I am home!! They have all brought my package right up to my door after I buzzed them in! This driver should be ashamed!! If I have anything to say about it, I will never go thru these people again!! P.S. I had just checked the status of the delivery on this item and it saids!!!, “signed by my last name.” Unbelievable! So they lie too!! I signed nothing, because as I had said this package was dumped inside the front building door after I had buzzed him in, so I could struggle getting it up three flights of stairs!! Unbelievable!!

Item has been in my city for 3 days, still not delivered. highly incompetent freight company do not use. Would trust a crackhead to pick this item up and deliver it over using GLS.

Horrible delivery - order heavy items as I am injured and unable to lift items - big boxes just left at the front of building and I was never buzzed or even check contact they had arrived and why would I give my apartment number if I didn’t want them delivers to my door !!!! Unacceptable

The item has arrived at the Ottawa Depot 4 days ago. All they do is update the status "Driver bulk out" with a new date every day. Why in heck does Amazon use this company????

I wish I had read reviews before using GLS as a courier, but I didn't and I regret that. Their ratings are so low for a reason.. We are a small business based in Ontario, and since the start of 2024: 1. 1/2 of our shipments have gone far over the estimated transit days 2. Two packages have been lost completely (and of course they've taken NO responsibility for this and we've lost all the money on those products) 3. A driver FORGED a signature on a delivery and left it at a door step, where it got stolen and now I have to fight GLS about this because again they are taking no responsibility for this, even though forging a signature is literally a crime... 4. Their customer service basically can do nothing to help in any scenario we've called in about. 5. Their "track and trace" requests take 30 days to "complete" which means you have no clue for a whole month if you item is actually missing or not!! (All other carriers I've had to do this with before has them completed in 5 business days max). Side note, insurance on shipments should only be for things like your shipment being damaged etc. If you lose my item it is in every possible way the couriers fault and they should 100% be responsible for covering the cost. Maybe they'd take things more seriously if they were forced to accept responsibility for their actions. I shouldn't have to pay for insurance on every single shipment because they can't be trusted. I have removed GLS from all my shipping platforms and will never be using them again.

Nous avons eu plusieurs mauvaises expériences avec cette entreprise. Des colis perdus aux colis retenus pendant des jours sans raison. Je ne sais même pas comment ils peuvent continuer à opérer en toute impunité.

The last status update online says "out for delivery" - and that was 4 days ago. I found out that GLS accepted shipment despite the delivery address being a post office box - my Canada Post flex delivery account, which I use to prevent packages left on my property being stolen - and then the Winnipeg branch refused to deliver it there (ALSO without notifying me, or updating the tracking information online) and may have sent it back. On the phone with the service advisor in Quebec, not only are they currently unable to locate the package, he relates that they don't currently have a way to communicate/show a status of a refused delivery or if something is sent back to the sender. At minimum, someone could have called me. UPDATE: The service advisor sent a message to local depot to look for the package - it was eventually found, and at that point someone did give me a call. I am also allowed to pick up the package at their depot, which is a plus for me - and I'm modified my rating accordingly. However, the deficiencies in the process are still concerning. Moreover, it's the 21st century - if I want my parcels delivered to a post office box or held at a depot - the courier companies that operate in this country should be doing that.

It's now Tuesday & I'm still waiting for my delivery!!!! Do yourself a favour & avoid this company at all costs. It's not worth the aggravation & frustration.
