Dear Global, I am 72 years old and over my life time I have made buying blunders and I consider this purchase as one of them. It's not your fault. It's mine. What could I expect for $117.00 when the least expensive glasses I could buy here in the US would be over $200. I had been warned, but I made an on-line purchase anyway. I'm sure your service will provide someone a "found deal" but not in my circumstance. Sorry, I wish I could have been more supportive. Jerry Davis

The price was great; the prescription lenses were prepared properly, however, there were a few issues; didn't receive an email notification of shipment as promised at time of order; had to call to get tracking number; when I received the order I found one of the nose pieces in the bottom of the case with a small screw. Did the repair myself rather than returning item.

I am very pleased with the product, just need to work on time frame between order and shipping. I have ordered from coastal contacts.com and received in one week in last couple of orders. I order more from global eyeglasses.com because of their special deals, but takes three to four weeks to receive order. Other than that issue, I recommend global eyeglasses.com to everyone.

Nice frames. Poor quality bifocals

I love purchasing glasses from this site. When there are sales, the prices are right. I wish the options of lower price frames was as broad as it once was, but still great options available. I have used globaleyeglasses.com 3 times. The only frustration I have had deals with shipping. I learned after the first time I order glasses not to pay for rushed shipping. The website says once a shipping tracking number is produced, the product should be picked up in 2-3 business days. Every time I have ordered, it has taken a week or a little more before USPS actually picks it up. It makes it hard to anticipate when your glasses will arrive. As long as variety of options, prices, and deals remain the same, I will definitely use the site again.

This is the worst store ever. I ordered two glasses on Nov 27. Today is Dec. 23 I did not receive it and I am getting no reply from the customer support. It took my money and didn't give me anything. The website says 12 to 13 days for delivery by DHL. I paid for express shipping to Canada but over 25 days passed and I received nothing.

I've had to wear glasses for over 30 years. I've worn just about every kind now, including extremely expensive pairs. Last year, on the advice of a friend, I tried ordering from Global. I had never ordered prescription glasses online before but it really wasn't difficult. This year, my RX changed and I came back. The quality of the frames and lenses has been great so far. I returned a pair of wraparound sunglasses due to the fit of the inner lenses, which the sizing numbers didn't account for. The other factors involved were the fact that o have a very large head (hat size 8) and I had never tried to buy that kind of sunglasses before because they're really expensive in stores! While it took some time, there was no hassle at all on their end. Everyone was very kind. I should say that it really bummed me out to send those shades back too. They were nice. This time, I ordered a two pairs of the same frame; one as glasses with anti reflective coating and one as sunglasses. They fit great, I can see great in them, and they look cool. But I do have a small complaint. The metal hinges on the plastic frames of both pairs wiggle a bit. I've had some play in more expensive frames, but this is just a bit more. Its not enough for me to send them back, because I really like them. And to be fair, this problem seems specific to this one type of frame, because I still have a similar pair (also a plastic frame) from my first order with Global that I've worn heavily (on my motorcycle) for a year now... and they're rock solid. But here's the bottom line: For these two pairs of prescription eyewear (that I really like) I just paid 30% less than I did for one pair of glasses at a eyeglass shop that took my vision insurance. That's 30% less than my "out of pocket" cost. Which itself was only about a fourth of the retail price! And... I'm not including the annual cost for the vision coverage! I've felt overwhelmed and frustrated by the overinflated prices of the prescription eyewear industry. After so many years, I think I was beginning to accept that there was never going to be any escape from it. Buying glasses, to me, was a negative, unavoidable, reoccurring experience that I've had most of my life. Like taxes. I'm really thankful for Global, because that burden is gone now. (Now if they could do something about taxes...) I'll be back.
