Finding an affordable GLP-1 for my sleep apnea was hard!
I have obstructive sleep apnea and my insurance won’t cover Zepbound, and it’s the only one approved to treat apnea. In fact, even if I was diabetic, it still wouldn’t. I would have to go with a different GLP-1. While I’m doing better than I ever have financially, with the rising costs of things I doesn’t feel like it. I searched through all of the other GLP-1 programs. The others all seemed to either charge separately for the medicine and the service, or if they didn’t it was still so much more expensive than I could really afford out of pocket at once. They work with Klarna to help you pay it out so you’re not taking that financial hit all at one time. The ordering process was easy. The customer service is great. They have buttons that allow you to choose from an AI or human agent to answer easy questions. I think the best part is, there’s 1 chat place with 2 tabs. One for questions for the doctor and another for customer service. The doctor has 1-2 days to get back to you once you order, and mine did the next day, which was great. The pharmacy has up to 7 business days to compound your medicine and send it to you. Mine took the full 7 days, but it’s also in the next state over, and probably busy. Then, when it ships, it’ll be packed in ice packs to ensure that it stays cool. This was my first time ever having to deal with compounding and all of that. I was expecting to be like my family and friends who are on different programs. They’re having to mix their own stuff together and buy their own syringes. As Gimme patients, we don’t have to do that. Ours come in pre-mixed vials, with whatever combination of medicine that you and your doctor discussed. Those vials are numbered to let you know what order to take them in. Then, in your box you’ll have packs for syringes, which also includes gamma sterilized wipes so you don’t even have to worry about having alcohol pads around. If your story sounds like mine, and you’re wondering if Gimme is what it claims to be, rest assured that it is. The pharmacy experience could potentially vary. I have no idea how many they use and how standardized everything is, but if you’re down in the East Texas/Louisiana area then yours will probably come from the same one that mine did, so your experience should mirror mine. Best of luck!
